I like movies like this, this and the Giver, Equilibrium and some other few movies tackling the concept of how no emotions would be better to us and trying to show that part of what makes us human is those very emotions that may bring us to trouble. Its like every good thing in the world must come with a little bit of bad, and it must be accepted.
@mish3759 ай бұрын
Equilibrium is underrated. Christian Bale did a fantastic job in the role of John Preston.
@EeliusAstaroth9 ай бұрын
Exactly. It doesn't fit in a "likes-based" society that is stuck in its own filter bubble, and despite all of these being fiction it is very much our reality that we should accept. There are tons of things that are dislike which should be known and shared yet due to algorithms it's all bs being pushed to the forefront. The only way out of that box is extending away from the general norms to stop the algorithms pushing you back in.
@emc80208 ай бұрын
I was hoping there would be a second installment of Equilibrium but no....😢
@TheAnantaSesa8 ай бұрын
@@EeliusAstarothI'm not convinced purposely contradicting prevailing norms is a good plan by itself. Those norms maintain cohesion albeit at times bringing comorbities into the society such as is seen by the destructive trends of treasonous tik tok challenges being promoted by Chinese government owned social media giant dba tik tok inc. Anyway I fear the future online discussions about how to deal with future problems bc of the rise of chat gpa which can speak coherently enough to sound like a smarter human than most commenters who participate in online discussions. Here's to hoping we overcome the difficulties.
@EeliusAstaroth8 ай бұрын
@@TheAnantaSesa seems like something you'd have to trust your fellow man to tell the difference. Just because it "sounds smart" doesn't make it plausible or even comprehensive. Even then, just like any one or thing attempting to dissuade, it's up to the individual to see and tell the differences which lead to sound or logical conclusions that hold out in the long run. Even if I were, say, talking to a generated chat, as annoying as it can be it also means for good practice and skill building. So take what you're dealt and turn it into something for the better. ATM, if algorithms are based on what an individual likes and looks up then it's sensible to add to that by deviating from the general norms. Yes, technology progresses and changes, but as Darwinism has proven you either adapt and be a part of the change for the better, or fail. Another, is not participating in anything that proves to be a risk and/or unnecessary such as ticktock. Just like other platforms, they can come in popularity and abate over time into it's own set of sm Darwinism. Either or, doing something and acknowledging what is currently doable for the situation is still a much better solution over being afraid of the future and allowing it to be doom and gloom when you could've done something and chose to do nothing. Seeing evil and doing nothing is just another equivalent of allowing it to progress when something could've been done to prevent it. Thus far, seems like if things like ticktock continues to prove being a liability then there isn't anything to worry about because that's where faith in our fellow men come into play to see the differences and reasonings that are sensible for continued social platforms worth keeping around. I also personally don't care for it and don't see any reason to have it so I don't have one. 🤷♀️ so I don't see a problem for me particularly because I'm also not supporting/contributing to any problem associated with that platform which just further supports my reasonings. More so because I also know plenty who do not use it, either, so being concerned about it seems like an unnecessary concern when there are other things out there worth your energy and attention. You can't control the whole, but what you do matters as others can see and reflect the same in turn. Which also makes it important and worth knowing/doing. You only get that if we continue what we are now which is socialize in the best means possible, and trusting others will understand if not also implement.

This is the second remake of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. Veronica Cartwright also appeared in the 1st remake w/Donald Sutherland and Leonard Nimoy. A young Daniel Craig appears here as well ( look closely).

Invasion was damn good, but for me the 1993 Body Snatchers was the best version.

The title is blocked by the subtitles, it's shown right at the beginning. You have to turn subtitles off to be able to see it. It's an idiotic placement tbh It's "The Invasion" (2007)

I’ve never seen this movie, but if the woman had directed the kid to plunge the syringe into her heart, then I honestly rather doubt he would have had the strength to do it. He’d have to thrust hard enough to puncture through her sternum and still reach the heart lol. That’s one incredibly strong 4-year-old 🤣
@TheTattorack8 ай бұрын
You DON'T shove an epipen through the sternum. You do it between the ribs at the side of the heart.

I just watched the movie, it was pretty good ngl. Plot was pretty convenient at the start with having CDC get infected, and extra convenient with the ending, but the characters acted reasonably. People figured it out at different times, and they tried to warn each other while blending in with the aliens. The mother wasn't negligent, once she pieced it together she went to get her kid so that they can get to a quarantine zone.

12 years before COVID... obviously it was a fake plandemic planned not years but decades before 2019. Thats why Event201 specified a coronavirus months before the alleged outbreak.

Actually, it was made during the SARS and Bird Flu epidemics. The US Government just never seems to learn its lesson about containing these outbreaks before the insurance companies and big pharma make sloppy attempts to for some reason!
