Time and time again it has been shown that people band together in times of crisis, and small tribes of people form tight bonds to each other. yeah most movies and TV shows always go the way of stuff like the Walking dead, where people just become horrible. Its strange how hollywood loves to push the idea that the only thing keeping us behaving is the strong arm of the government, and that humans need to have people in charge so they don't turn into monsters. I personally believe that things won't be that bad. There are plenty of societies around the world that have functioned without a powerful government in charge, and while they do have inter tribal conflict on a more frequent basis, they don't just go crazy robbing and killing one another either.

@@Makabert.Abylon Diesel doesn't go bad. Also, many expiration dates are a marketing tool to get you to buy more product. Many medications do last forever, and most of the rest just lose potency over time. As far as the actor, I hate when they use those aging techniques. I guess you never heard of "suspending disbelief" for thing that are impossible. Like making an actor age actually 50 years during production.

A few years ago, a small town in Australia decided wild cats were destroying the environment and they massacred them. The bubonic plague came back. OMG. I read this book Earth Abides when I was in high school nearly 50 yrs ago. The novel was published in 1949. I never knew it had been made into a TV series until today.

Because a baby would complicate every element of survival. Regardless of -complications at birth that could harm the mother or child, you now have another mouth to feed and look after. I don't think he would have been as frightened, had he already had an established group.

Perhaps also consider a range of fridge sizes and energy efficiencies.

Why did they have to build a radio? They couldn't have just gone to grab one? Or, Idk, find a radio tower somewhere and clean it up? Idk why they even stayed in one spot. If their water was dwindling, they couldn't have just thought, we should move to a better location? How is it more likely that random strangers conveniently shows up with water and a drill? The baseball game with random things was so weird. How have they not raided stores for that stuff? It would have made more sense if that part said they played a game of baseball with equipment someone brought back from a recent supply run. This story made no sense at all 😭 All the people being happy Charlie was dead bc he was a horrible person. Like, why follow him then? Annnd back to, what the heck did those people do for all those years that it took them so long to find another colony of survivors? Lol, k, k rant over.

This is an actually believable movie. 9.5/10 for realism. Docked 0.5 because of not considering expiration dates on things and also due to the weird rat infestation, which would likely never have gotten that bad. But overall, excellent plot.
