What I always found funny about this movie is that despite the villain creating the prison from Stallone’s character’s own notes. Stallone was still able to escape within 4 hours. If that prison wasn’t in the sea, Stallone would have been gone.

I like how the movie forgets to mention what crime Emil/Mannheim was convicted of in order to end up in super-mega-ultra-prison. In my head cannon, after Ray has been through this amazing adventure with Emil/Mannheim, they go out for beers, they're cracking jokes together, having a great time, Ray is starting to soften his views on criminal justice, and then: Ray: "So you never did tell me how you ended up in there." Emil/Mannheim: "Oh... just some bullshit... you know how it is. I mean, what even is the age of consent anyway? It's a totally made up number." Ray: "..." Emil/Mannheim: "And then that other nonsense. People eat cow meat every day without even thinking about it but somehow it's a big deal if someone enjoys human meat from time to time? It's ridiculous. Unfortunately it's a complete myth - one I believed too for many years. The coriolis effect only affects large bodies of water/air - certainly not toilets or baths. If there is a difference in direction, it's a combination of the shape of the exit pipe and random interactions in the fluid dynamics of the water. Good day to you.
