All I can ask of you is please don’t watch Lord of the Rings at a time when you’re not really focused on it. Obviously don’t put it on when you’re tired (because they’re freaking long), but also there are a lot of strange character names (that often sound similar), and a lot going in the world and I know people who have disliked the films initially just because they’re so overwhelming. Just take them slow because they’re incredible. Also, I’m saying this with complete bias because I think The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the greatest achievement in the history of cinema.

@insertusername74314 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Kemink honestly, before watching the movie I hadn’t seen an episode of South Park, so you really don’t need much or any prior knowledge to still enjoy it. And to answer your question, the film is just so much fun in my opinion, from the jokes to the characters and even the songs (this film is musical, but parodies then at the same time). I think you do need a specific sense of humour, the jokes and gags are very offensive and edgy, so if you like that stuff I beg you to watch it. But you also might hate, it is quite polarising.

Any Scandinavian disaster movie. "The Wave" in particular, while having a similar setup to most American disaster movies, I find goes a lot further when it comes to raising stakes. It isn't afraid to kill off characters, and force it's protagonists into real, difficult positions. It's as if the whole movie were about that 5 minute scene in Day After Tomorrow, except they have nowhere to actually escape to. See it on Hulu. (while we're at it, Quake, from the same production company is also pretty solid) and while we're on Scandinavian movies- is Trollhunter available anywhere?
