Yes because helicopter parenting is so much better. Not allowing your kid to step foot outside the house without you, not allowing her to experience independence - because that's not going to bite you in the b-e-ehind 15/20 yrs from now when she's dependent on you and can't get out of your controlling hand. I went no contact with my mom for awhile in my 20's because she was controlling. When she loosened up we had a lot better relationship. Like I said - your kid, don't be surprised they go no contact once they are of age just to get you off their back.
