Your level of commitment to the hobby is inspiring to all of us! I thought I had all things considered but Earthquakes I forgot about those! Over here It's the hurricanes and afternoon thunderstorms with tornadoes, lightning and hail! I added my collection and toybox to my homeowners policy a couple of years ago. Insurance is something I would recommend to any collector with 10,000 or more invested in their collection!

Yup, I have my table saw handy to make permanent solutions but I will be using bungee cords for a quick fix.

Relieved to hear you are taking the earthquake risk into account (securing bracing / panels on the ends), as the thought crossed my mind when I saw the height of those shelves, that there is some danger of them toppling over or shedding their contents. We don't get the same plastic cases here, but I'll aim to show the ones we use in an upcoming video. Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the insight Mark. I keep my carded HW and MB in the cases I sometimes get from the stores. I never really thought about how to store my loose castings but these jammers look like the biz. Funny how you mention your Matchbox as down here in New Zealand, these were a favorite of mine when I was growing up. I still have most of my collection but for the most part they are loose and not boxed or carded. Like you the HW have overtaken these though in my collection. Cheers and thanks again for the upload.

The warehouse definitely has lots of potential! I have a few suggestions: maybe address the door gaps as soon as possible, you wouldn't want rodents or insects to get in and destroy your collection! I think its a really cool space, lots of room! Maybe eventually you could have a museum or retail part to it too. Take care.

I have brought down my table saw and other tools so I can build exciting new features but you're right, one of the first things I will be doing is building better blockers for those door gaps!

Mark is it ? I’ve been watching various videos on most of your channels lately. My grandson is at the right age to begin playing with cars and this Christmas will be his lucky year. I’m not a collector but I’ve had great fun putting a collection of sets and vehicles together that we can enjoy. Both Gravity and Boosted/Kicker track sets. I can't believe you have enough time for this. And collecting all of the blue $1 cars as well. I'm at a point where I have narrowed the hobby down to just buying Supper Hunts, Convention cars, Japanese Convention cars,, and Hot Wheels Collectors Club cars. I don't take them out and leave them in the protector plastic covers. It is hard to refrain from opening anything so every now and then I will open up a real nice collector car. You dedication to the hobby is truly amazing. Do you have a deal with Mattel or do you go out and buy all of your items. The first video I ever watched of yours a long time ago you began tearing into the cars and I was beside myself thinking, OH NO! Don't do that.

Hi Chris, no I do not have any deals with Mattel. I have had about half a dozen sponsored videos from them (where they paid me) and that information would be in the description and disclosed in the video. I generally don't accept free product for review but I did contact them about some current Matchbox Jurassic World items and they did send them to me. I have done almost 200 Hot Wheels case unboxing videos. Over 60 Matchbox. I paid for all of them. Round 2 (Johnny Lightning, Racing Champions Mint, Auto World) and I have an agreement that they send two cases of each batch and I review them. That's cool that you remember my "Inside Story" videos where I would take apart a car and show the parts. I decided to stop them because somebody flagged one of the videos as "not suitable for ads". Welcome back!

I didn't notice that 2 for $2.50 deal. I'm going to make a pit stop for a snack meal =) As for the HW Electric Racing, the copyright is 2001. I don't recall buying any individual HW slot cars. I would not be surprised if they worked with the Tyco track because Mattel bought Tyco in the late 90's.
