Back in the day I loaded tunnel clay from a spoil heap, used a 1.5 yd. bucket Front End Loader. It was hauled away in 11 yd. 6 wheeler trucks. 3 mins to load one truck and the next one backed in ready. The tunnel mined 24 hrs. I worked 12 so had to get em loaded and out. I'm sure there will be no problem selling the top soil, the clay I loaded was made into bricks, so a great use for it. Isn't it great being top of the heap!!!!!!!!

a contractor did the work to replace a bridge with a pour in place culvert. they had a huge hole dug and had the dirt separated. Yellow clay is good blue clay and top soil is bad for compacting beside the structure. They had a summer helper running a crawler loader backfilling and running a compactor. He loaded trucks that the county supplied to haul away the blue clay. Empty truck, first loader bucket , phoom the truck jumped off the ground. I guess it knocked the built up dirt off the frame and bottom of box. bright side

Hey Dennis, Quick question. How come just tri-axles in your fleet instead of quads? Would quad axles just not be anymore beneficial to your guys application? I know down my way in Southwest Va. most are Quad axles . Most of your paving/trucking companies run Quints. Might see maybe one or two tri-axles. Just curious being that we are both from VA. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Why don't those big excavators have pushing blades on em like the mini excavators?
@Darryl6034 жыл бұрын
They're heavy enough and the footprint is wide enough you don't need it. With a unit that size, you have dozers and graders to level the dirt. You can rough it in with the bucket and roll over a small area with the tracks but really, it's designed to dig and load.
@DLHFarms4 жыл бұрын
Darryl is right. One of the main things that the blade is for on the small excavators is for stability.

I never got a notification for this one. YT sucks. Just so you know, I've been (ridin) around looking at all the (green) equipment. ;-) Who got the ticket for the accident? @@DLHFarms that's not to bad. If you had 7 or 8 trucks running and it takes you 3 minutes to load 1 truck and the round trip takes 25 minutes. You could do 135 to 150 loads per day without any major issues. Do you agree?
