Moving an old bush hog with the John Deere 40

Sweet sound on that 40. Just picked-up a chrome straight pipe for my 40T. Can't wait to hear it under a load next summer. I'm sure it'll sound awesome baling hay.

I never hook up top link first. I learned that from experience many years ago because I would have to unhook the top link to be able to hook up lift arms. Too many times I would have to move tractor to get lift arms close enough to hook up, and you can’t do that if you have already connected the top link.

There isn't anything wrong with the 8n's pto. It has an overrun clutch on it.

was that a 330-S beside the 9n? sweet lil 40.

+Normand Farms Ahhh ok reason i taught 330 was because of the rear rims since 430s had a different style hub.

+TractorGuy140 Wow. I just looked it up and it does have a different rim. I guess the people who had it before me put these on it. Wouldn't doubt it because it has several other fishy things done to it.
