What a great start your greenhouse gave to those trees. You’re about a month ahead of us down here in Connecticut. Thanks, keep growing

Lots of moving and pruning in this video. Everything looks tidy and the greenhouse looks beautiful ans shiny! Like new 🌟 I have to catch up many videos again. probably some of the trees that were moved out in this video go back in somewhat soon. But I hope everyone had a good summer!

I was diggin all the work on so many trees. And that green house got SO much brighter! You put in some serious off camera labor, good sir!

Good that yo cleaned up your greenhouse, from day to day it is hard to notice how dirty windows can get and how much it shades inside. It is a good start to growing season

Always enjoy and learn lots from listening to your thought process. After all that pruning, you are left with lots of cuttings. Do you try rooting them?
@TheBonsaiZone8 ай бұрын
I don't, just because I have way too many trees already!!! Thanks!!

I’m working on several red maples myself, how do you get them to produce lower branches down the trunk? I started seeds 3 years ago and they are straight without lower branches. I enjoy your content, I’m working with as many local species as I can find seeds for. Your videos have been a great help.
@TheBonsaiZone8 ай бұрын
It's best to hard prune them back to sticks in spring before the buds begin to swell, then you will get branches growing out lower down!

Hey Nigel, are you waiting for the leaves to harden off or is it save to prune back the new growth earlier? I'm in the same zone as you but no greenhouse. Thanks!
@TheBonsaiZone8 ай бұрын
You can prune it back earlier, the sooner you prune, the less the trees will grow, but you will get tighter branching. It's a balance between growth vs. control. These are young trees, so I let them grow a bit before pruning!

Virginia creeper is so hard to get rid of in the garden, oh, i hate them so much 😂😂😂 once it's there- it's all over!
@TheBonsaiZone8 ай бұрын
I will agree on that, they run along the ground and pop up all over the place. I'm always pulling them out of the trees in the yard!!
