I’m from Cape May, New Jersey and it never really bothered me that it shut down during the year! If anything, it’s nice because you get to have the “small town vibe” in the winter when it’s just the locals, and then still get to have a fun and busy action packed summer. But I was also born and raised here so I’m used to driving 50+ minutes to the closest mall and having to go out of my way for activities. So I see how it could definitely feel isolating for you. It just depends on the vibe that you want, but I couldn’t be happier to have grown up in such a special place!🤍

You two would love Chicago! It reminds me of New York and Boston combined. On the bigger side, amazing food, architecture, things to do, shopping, etc. If you decide to go, summer in Chicago is unmatched. Highly recommend checking out the Loop (West or South), River North, and Gold Coast area. Not to mention it would be so fun to run into you guys 🥺💗

I felt this so much. I always remind myself that sports will be over for my boyfriend at some point (hopefully later rather than sooner), and we'll look back on this time and think about what an adventure it was. It's a unique lifestyle! & it's chaotic, but also exciting? It helps me remember to not take making solidified plans so seriously (though I'm a PLANNER by nature). It also feels kind of free to travel light. And, with him playing professional sports and me doing social media full-time, we have the income to handle whatever comes and I have the freedom to do things on the fly. It works in a weird way. RELATED TO THIS SM.

There very good restaurants that should save your money. Many good history places to visit to go’ it is not cheap city quite expensive. So definitely have cash. I use to live near Boston.

You have to go to Arizona , it’s so beautiful there!! You will fall in love with the state. I’ve lived in MA, my whole life and I went to college at U of A and absolutely loved it out there, want to move out there but I can’t afford it right now as my small business is struggling. My dog and I both miss Arizona so much, we hate the cold weather here.

Cape isn’t really AS seasonal as you would think - definitely depends on the area but I’m from Barnstable like Max and there’s lots around the main areas that stays open! Definitely most club options for sports are off cape but I don’t regret growing up here and will likely move back here when I have kids some day

I lived in Tobermory Ontario which is a beach/cottage town. I would be BFF with someone all summer and then they would have to leave 😭😭 everyone else was from Toronto so they would really keep in touch. Plus winters feel very low because it was like a ghost town in a place that used to be PACKED of people. So ya I def understand what you mean. But I loved knowing everyone in my small town :) we all grew up together
