I was blessed to meet her on the airplane from Texas to Nashville a couple weeks after my son got killed she was in the seat in front of me and heard me cry I was trying to be quiet but Nicole heard she asked me what was wrong and we prayed together she was a godsend that I needed that moment in my life. She even had her one of her assistants to give me a CD we get to the airport in Nashville at the luggage collection area all I know is she has made a difference in my life I love her forever she is my sister in Christ she is real may God continue bless her life because she sure blessed mine.

I can relate. But it's possible that sometimes, since our view of ourselves have been damaged; we tend to believe that's the way everyone else see us. It's a 50/50, so, everytime I face these thoughts/ feelings; I ask myself: What does the Word of God say about me? How does He see me. After getting affirmation from that place, it's easier to be about my Father's business and serve as a bridge for someone else struggling with the same issues. God's got us, ladies; we are His workmanship, the apple of His eyes, we have been bought with a price, the blood of Jesus!

Thanks Nicole for sharing your testimony. Indeed God Jesus Christ is a healer, deliverer, redeemer etc. I went through a Divorce too and it was like living in Hell for a time. I began as time pass to recognise I was settling for a dead man who was just dragging me down and draining me spiritually, physically and emotionally etc. He closes doors in our life that needs to be close and starts better chapters. Your life will get better. Jesus Christ is our first husband and no matter our status we should always put Him first. He knows best! Fasting, prayer, spiritual songs, people praying for me, I praying until, with time I overcame and I am happy.

It bothers me when women wrap Domestic Violence in a nice neat little package! It is not, it’s ugly, it’s terrifying, and many times you cry out to God wondering where He is. Tell the dark ugly truth and meet women where they are so that through your true testimony they can have hope. With love, prayer and persistence we can encourage women and let them know their is a safe way out. Tell the truth to every woman, especially those who have no money, family support or assistance. We can walk with them through and to true freedom even when they feel they have been abandoned by everyone including God. Ladies make a plan, continue to pray and the moment God opens a door, do not hesitate, Walk through and don’t look back. May God Bless all my sisters and brothers who are entangled in this horrifying situation. Be encouraged, continue to pray, do your part in silence and prayer and watch God work around you.

The interview wasn't solely about that. It was about her evolution and the new album. There's a time and place for everything. This wasn't the time for her to focus on that one aspect of her life

Gloria Parson, I understand what you are saying. When people are trapped, they look for validation to their pain around every corner. In situations like this, it seems that Nichole has done what seems impossible for a woman who is chained to an abuser. Nichole had parents that loved the Lord. They helped her. Many don't have resources like that. Maybe their family is just as toxic as their spouse. It is truly frightening to be in the situation you wrote about. Thanks for your honesty. It is horrifying. It is somewhat glossed over. The women who have survived are washed off and shiny. They don't look like where they have been. If they talk too much about the nightmare then people would accuse them of being unforgiving. Or, they would be accused of dwelling too much on the past. We put up a strong front so that we are not victimized again by "well-meaning" folk. Abuse is a dark, dark pit. Especially when you sleep with your enemy every night. What might seem impossible is possible with God. It is just a matter of time. Sometimes, you have to blow up your raggedy life situation to rebuild again with better materials.

Sometimes I don't understand why certain marriages dont get restored , in her case it's probably infidelity and it destroyed her marriage, though it's not the only thing that destroys marriages.. I'm a pastor's wife and my marriage is on the brink of divorce, I feel like it's the best thing to do, to live in peace, have peace and heal. I feel like there's no light at the end of the tunnel, I'm not doubting God's goodness or power. It's just sad how my marriage , my life has turned out, never imagined my life in a loveless ,broken and unhappy place.( Marriage).

Like when a husband dies from a sudden illness or maybe even a wife from a long illness, I know of such cases where people I know personally avoid at all costs going back to the church they went to, had there spouses funeral at, don't want to go back as a widow or widower because they don't feel comfortable being asked how you feel at the loss of your spouse and don't want grief and how are you and the children doing questions? They can't stand pity or a pity party. I don't like it either.

In my church there are many single mother....& it's not an issue
@paulfiguer63132 жыл бұрын
Why should be an issue? Are no churches made of sinners? I prefer single mothers, that women without children because they aborted them. Theres a lot of hypocrisy in some churches. Single mothers existed because the world is full of jerks, pseudo men, selfish critters. A true Man will never use or abuse a woman.

Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!
