I'm excited for you Peter about the new cutter/engraver... and thankful it wasn't assembled. The more complex assembled tools get, the less likely it is to survive shipping... and I also am glad that you didn't cut down the bow pulpit. A little beef to the wood and standoff distance to keep the anchor from becoming a bell clapper when raising it in weather is a wholly good thing.

Peter, Zepherus and Geordie seem to be almost the same length, but Geordie looks bigger, maybe because of the upper helm. Did Zepherus also have an upper helm, when she was originally built?

Hi, Poem is 27', Zephyrus is 36' and Geordie is 40'. Zephyrus has never had an upper helm as far as I can tell.

Hi Peter, I just spent two days on Jedidiah Island about a month ago. Did you see the sheep and the old farmhouse? How bout the rope swing? We stopped there on our way back from Princess Louisa inlet/chatterbox falls. What a great trip. Make sure to check out the Upper Deck restaurant at Secret Cove if you get a chance. Absolutely fantastic!
