I was exactly the same with grown. I got the audiobook from my library and I'm so glad because it was so good but so haunting. I know I won't read it again but I highly suggest people read it once.

Fence is continuing as a graphic novel!!! 😁😁 the fifth volume comes out November 2022 😁 I’m not positive but I’m pretty sure you don’t need to read the novel to still understand the graphic novels, I think it’s just an extra side thing Edit: I read Fence bc of your rec when you first read them and OMG I LOVED IT 😍 one of my favorite series now, it has my heart completely, thank you for introducing me to them!

Hello! I liked Summer of Salt A LOT, but did not love Horrid. I think you'd like Summer of Salt too! It's v atmospheric, sapphic, and witchy. If you've read and liked The Raven Cycle, you'll like Summer of Salt.

Last year when I was new to the book community I ordered Bunny from Barnes but then right when it arrived I returned it to the store without reading it. I got nervous because of a trigger warning about animal cruelty..is this a big theme in the book? I'm sensitive with that.

Muse of nightmares was def not as enjoyable for me as strange the dreamer but the reveal why Mina is the Mina is was…interesting. I gave it a 4 but I also gave strange 5 ⭐️ so you probably won’t think it’s worth it. You could always read spoilers and see if you’re intrigued enough lol

Oh thank god I’m not the only one who finds the Tomb books a hot mess! I felt like I was standing in a sea of Muir-disciples, waving a tiny flag of dissent. I like the potential in Muir’s writing, but the whole series feels like an ill-judged AmDram late night lock-in.

I saw new readers on bookstagram talking about how they didn’t like Jay’s newest release and they had a montage of how many times the word “Bitch” was used. Everyone in the comments: sorry you had to experience that honey, he’s a skip. Although, I enjoyed the Illuminae Files but it kinda irks me that he is a part of that.

Summer of salt is the only Leno I can tolerate. Her writing style isn’t for me and I wouldn’t pick up anything else by her, but I did enjoy Summer of Salt. Do with that what you will.

And for the third comment-thanks for the day phobia call out in Kill Creek. I pointed it out in my review and DNF’d when they got into the house and the elevator scene happened. It was enough. I was so angry nobody was speaking on the problematic content and that I’d spent money on it. Pure garbage.
