That being said, how sweet of Lyle to bring flowers and drinks/snacks :) Looks like he's going to be a thoughtful person to live with! Looks wonderful! My husband would have space issues! He would literally just tell me you have too much stuff honey. It’s a huge change to move in together. I had to give up a lot when we did finally make that decision. I had tons of shoes and furniture and had to part with much of it. But we ended up having to sell a bunch of his stuff too. Don’t forget Lyle is changing his lifestyle too. Men hide their feelings, make sure he is ok with everything and that is doesn’t come back later. Bachelor life to couple life is hard on some men.

It’s too bad that your movers deliberately tried to overcharge you - the moving business is poorly regulated, and the sort of attempted scam they tried to pull is all too common, especially when they see a single woman by herself who they think they can take unfair advantage of. I’m glad that you seem to have straightened it out. If I were there I would bring you a gift of bread and salt for your new home - bread so you would never go hungry, and salt so that your life in your new home would always have flavor.

It's unfortunate that you were subjected to these things while moving😟. Not all moving companies are like the one you used. When we relocated to nyc, we had the opposite experience with our moving company. We actually tipped and fed the gentlemen because we were so pleased with the service they provided. Glad you are safely in your beautiful new home🏡

I moved recently too. Movers work so hard, it's a very taxing job. But generally speaking they don't have the kind of care and worry over people's stuff. I wish the moving companies would pay them good money and also ask them to be careful. But that would probably cost extra.

Be careful .my last house was full of boxes like yours and I took a horrible fall!Packing outfit???No jeans?Dump those shoes...lol.Moving is very stressful........I usually lose 10 pounds!Love the pillows!!!!Color!!!!!My last movers were a nightmare and one of the reasons I will never move again!So happy you have a washer and dryer!!!You will get use to the street noise...it becomes like the ocean.You may want a white noise machine.OMG Kyle loves colors!!!!!!

It must have been so hard to move out of your sweet apartment.... &, I cannot believe what happened with the movers, I would have cried, too. Agreed, they should not have left the moving truck open or your stuff down there in some bin that ppl think is holding free stuff. That's nuts! Esp on the streets in New York! I’m gonna miss the old place. It gave me such New York vibes.
