They seem a great couple. I can really relate to this guy - the planner who seem to have so much thoughts and ideas living inside his head. This pandemic can be really tough on our mental health. Let’s all hang in there brothers and sisters!

it was interesting to hear him talk about his metal roofs. the first house i ever bought was in a little seaside town in florida, it had a metal roof that was put on in 1933. i no longer own that house but it still has the same metal roof and it's still in fantastic shape.

I didn’t catch the mans name but he is one multi talented dude!!! A builder, a potter, a leather crafter, a fruit farmer and he can run big equipment. Amazing! 💚🙃

Great video! I love how this couple work together and obviously respect each other. When they started talking about dealing with roof snow, I could completely relate! For 35 years we lived in a 200 year old house with a huge barn. The driveway ran along its northwest side. The driveway sat in shade all day and took forever to melt and several days after a big snow you would hear the telltale groan as the snow fell off the barn and dumped onto the driveway so you got to shovel twice. Loved the house; don’t miss the driveway!

Lovely talented couple, and so interesting to hear about this level of resourcefulness. And Summer is becoming such a great interviewer, drawing people out & giving them space to tell you their stories and showcase their skills. #TopJob

Great video. When I saw the pruning video I enjoyed hearing from Scott & Crystal so I'm glad you did a second video to show more. I do enjoy hearing the details of architecture, building, etc. (I also love pottery & leather so will have to check out their shop). They are certainly flexible to work in new plans or venture out into new areas as they need to.

Scott & Crystal are so creative and enterprising! As their beautiful timber house and barn are in such a grandstand and therefore exposed location, I'd love to know the type and level of insulation they will be using within the timber frame wall and roof construction. I'd also love to see them maybe add a greenhouse structure to the main house. I know it's not the theme of the video, but honestly Summer you rock up to an interview/tour looking just so utterly amazing!

The people you feature are so capable and talented. It's so interesting how they make do with what is available...great find, those windows! So much thought is put into the design of the house and barn.... foreseeing things down the road, designing with weather challenges in mind. I love their leatherwork, too...looking at their website. Fascinating videos.... thank you, Summer and Scott and Crystal.😀

They should write everything down start to finish and hide it inside a closet, like a time capsule. I watched a video on here where a girl renovating a big old Victorian found writing under the wallpaper in a closet, pretty cool I thought. I'm also amazed at how they keep up with every talent they have, I went from wood working to throwing pots, to the garden. Can't imagine keeping up with each thing. Best wishes for their future endeavors.

“Wow, they’re making them right here!” So cute ☺️ lovely couple. Still don’t get why they didn’t just stick with their first farm, sell a piece of it if they felt it was too but but stay there, have it close to town, Berry picking etc.. Then they wouldn’t have bitten off too much, which he said they did, so they bought another farm? I don’t understand..
