Hi, Thanks for your note. We are glad you enjoyed the session. Here is the reply from the speaker: SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition is operated by SAP. So upgrades etc. will be done by SAP. The customer does not have to take care about that. See also sap.to/6050yhqhi In this session we were talking about installing the “regular” SAP S/4HANA on Azure. Thanks for explanations I have few Questions am currently running non Hana systems like PO, EP , CRM other components running on Oracle DB How to move these SAP on Oracle systems to Azure ? Coz we are going to continue in Oracle only in your option you have mentioned Target system be “ Hana dB “ or is this prerequisites only for ERP to S4HANA ?

Hi, Thanks for your note. Here is the answer from the session speaker Mathias Klein: For the migration to Azure we make use of the Database Migration Option (DMO) of the Software Update Manager (SUM). DMO does not support Oracle as target DB: sap.to/6058yTfZI If you want to stick to Oracle, you can use Homogeneous System Copy function of the Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM). Here you can use Oracle backup & restore functionality to move the DB content: sap.to/6050yTfZ0 Let us know if you need any more information, Best Regards, SAP TechEd Team
