You could do with a wood/solid fuel burner in the left front of the lounge for the cold winter nights and if you run out of gas. Also you should find plenty of storage under the seats in the dinette, Smooth sailing and Bon Voyage!

I spent my first year on my furnishings, which has transformed the boat, I despaired in first six month 'cos the grim wood work kept making it look very dated. I painted the ceiling/deckhead with quite a few coats of satin paint, after cleaning with sugar soap, not had to re paint in this year, since using a top Q scrubable paint. I bought full length curtains (NEXT, lined , Ebay £100) They stop draughts and look good too. The flooring was "practical", so bought Flotex carpet which is for boats, it's indestructable (so far), and I have a very hard wearing but softer, carpet end of roll in the saloon. Total cost was £200, about half the full retail price. I would put and underlay under the Flotex if I used it in the saloon, as it's very thin. I can remove it in summer, and hose wash and dry in one day. I replaced the foam on my diner/bed area, and re-covering it will be the final triumph, a strong modern and fireproof fabric, from "end of line" and other discount places, will get you very expensive fabrics at about one quarter of the full price.

I bought a NB eighteen months ago, the owner/fitter had lined it with coarse grained, ie not veneered ply. I have removed all the pine trim , painted the ply with Zinssers (tough interior paint which is scrubable, having tried all the cheaper brands), and replaced cheapo pine 1" trim with 2" oak, and solid oak skirting. I suggest you just paint as little as possible over veneered ply, just lightly sand, wash with sugar soap and use a satin varnish, or leave it alone and put up artwork etc. Cleaning with dilute sugar soap will remove grease and grime.
@artstarbby47604 жыл бұрын
That’s a great idea 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great video. Having lived on a NB for three years now. In Uk. Small tips under the sofa you have room for a pull out box on wheels. Also looks like you have a cassette toilet that means you should have lots of space under the bed for stuff you don’t need that much suitcases box of summer/winter clothes. I would love to go to france with my boat. Did you buy it there or have it shipped over, where are you? Are you in a marina do you live aboard? Have a word with David from on the cut I am sure he would love to interview you and that would get you a lot more people. You have got a great channel keep it up.

Please consider having your oven serviced. The flames were burning very yellow, which indicates incomplete combustion which is the primary cause of carbon monoxide production. It goes without saying that if this is what's happening you could be at very serious risk. Even when functioning correctly it's essential that you keep a window open when using the cooker, and obviously ensure you have a good quality, functioning and properly located carbon monoxide detector installed.

You are going to find out that damp moisture will tarnish your clothes under your bed It goes with the territory since your in a damp atmosphere Your airing cupboard if you have one not being warm will also attach mould spores to your clothes Insulation on boats is the poor spray foam stuff quick for a boat builder to apply but not the best for boat owner So with this in mind if there in no air gap between your facia boat and spray foam behind it moisture transfer occurs and black mold appears in winter. Lots of negativity here but it's boating life
