I have a nice acme thread bar, but the nuts are brass, is it possible to wrap weld and forge a decent length nut over the cold bar? Or a half and half pre forged threads(using the bar for a swage, and a soft faced mallet), fag welded over the bar (maybe coat bar with wax or something so accidentally don't weld to the nut?)
