Moving on to Stage 4 and what it means to me

This video is the first of a new series chronicling my journey with colon cancer. The finale of my first video series offered an optimistic message that my surgery and chemo treatments would have offered me stable health for many years. After a brief few months, in October 2023 to be exact, my doctors identified two spots in my lungs. This was unexpected and following several tests, they concluded that the disease has returned and spread to my lungs. I am now diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer which is basically a one way street. The good news is that many afflicted with my condition still live very happy and productive lives for many years. So as much as it's a one way street, it can still be a long street and hopefully somewhat scenic!
As of the time of recording this video, I feel good and am in good spirits and one thing that this Cancer 2.0 experience is giving me is an opportunity to reflect further on important things and encouraging me to be creative and engage thoughtfully and even optimistically with the world around me. This video is a part of this new experience.
I am fully intending to grow this series perhaps with a little more vigor and direction than with my first series. I have an awful lot of things swirling inside my head and I'm thinking that it will be good for me to find ways of sharing them.

Tom cancer does affect people differently in so many ways and yes.. our bodies all react differently to treatment I have no doubt in my mind that your positivity will help you through this and make you stronger with your journey. I'm happy to hear a thoracic surgeon is performing some surgery. As you know CT scans on a routine basis is taxing and your mind is constantly thinking and wondering what next. I had two lung surgeries and they said 5 years It's now over 8. Live life to the fullest and stay positive. You are my hero. Stay strong Hugs

Hey Tom I was thinking of you during Christmas holidays & dropped you a whatsapp message to say hello & to hear you are doing well, my wife as well diagnosed stage 4 *lymph, lungs & skin involved* in Oct 22... she is stable with no further advancement, I will reach out to share some experiences & natural things helps her fighting with good quality of life...
