This is the only channel I am subscribed to. We thought we were eating Grass-Fed beef for years, come to find out that it was grain-finished. Luckily we made the switch in July and are so much the better for it. @judy slen~ I totally agree! These videos help me sleep well at night (and that's saying a lot since my youngest is 6mo. old!) Watching these videos have truly inspired my family of 5 and give us hope for the future. Mr. Greg Judy, I thank God for you sharing this wealth of knowledge and positivity. Our first purchase with our stimulus check will be your books!

This pasture is a place of peace and personifies Psalm 23. I am sure you feel close to the Lord as you manage the pastures with the livestock. Thank you for the work you do both on the land and sharing God's way of managing the land via videos.

People hate to be thought a fool. It breaks my heart to see all the cattle in mud lots up here in Massachusetts. Even if these morons have a choice they put them in the mud because they are lazy. I'm no tree hugger animal lover but I respect the animals.

I really have to thank you Greg for these flerd videos. I am actually getting a few cows today to add to our sheep operation. We are also getting a well tempered bull in the next week. My plan was to put the bull in with our rams until we run him with the cows. My dad (who is quite opposed to the whole cow thing) was afraid that the bull would kill the rams. So I've been showing him your flerd videos and he was amazed! He is okay with the idea now, thanks again!

The high tannin serecia also has some deworming activity so the sheep are self medicating as they graze it. I appreciate that quality of it but it's such an invasive pain. We have it badly down here everywhere. The sheep did a good job on it last fall even when it was tough (though not as good as goats probably would have). I'm anxious to see their impact on it from the time it's young.

Hey Greg can you spell that sericial especia. That’s the best spelling I can come up with. From what you showed of it. It looks kinda like alfalfa. We get what looks like what you showed in Nova Scotia but it only grows on the river banks and on the sides of the road. Thanks

He's talking about Sericea Lespedeza. It's a bush legume, similar to alfalfa. And unfortunately Wikipedia's the only site I could find with some half decent photos to help ID. Most other sites were so disappointing... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lespedeza_cuneata

Great video as always! Our clover (Crimson and Ladino) is flourishing this year. I don’t know if it’s the warmer winter or our extra paddock we put in to give each section a longer rest, but it’s rocking for sure.

How tall should I let my grass get before I turn my cows out on it? It’s in the growing process right now. It’s maybe 3-5 inches tall right now. We live up in the mountains so our growth season starts later than most.
