Hello Kayleigh…just stumbled upon your new vlog tonight and I’m enjoying it so far. I sounds like you could learn to make your own iced coffee. I make iced coffee daily although it’s not like the fancy stuff you got t home. I’m hoping to visit Amsterdam soon…so I’ve been checking all the Amsterdam KZbin videos ad nauseam. Happy new home to you and the hubs. 😉👏🏼👏🏼

Are you gonna make a vlog bout you moving over here as well?
@chellionnaire5 күн бұрын
@ probably not, I'm much too shy for that ☺️
@laziojohnny795 күн бұрын
@ ohh but being shy is not something I recommend when living in the NLs, 99,9% of us are everything but shy and you might get taken advantage of. You have to be able to stand your ground here and speak up for yourself.
@chellionnaire5 күн бұрын
@ Thanks, that's a good tip! I think I'm more bold in person, maybe I'm just video-shy.

Welcome to The Netherlands! I am also an American who moved to The Netherlands with my Dutch husband!

I have been living in the Netherlands since 1958, it is an acquired taste, but I'm getting used to it :) Go look in other places outside Amsterdam, go walk on the beach, go to Haarlem, Utrecht, Leiden, Zwolle, Den Haag... Learn to ride a bike, if you do, go with the flow...Cars do not work in inner cities..And trains are okay here..

Welcome to our itsy bitsy teenie weenie tiny sweet petite little a** country. Hope you'll feel at home here very soon, but I have yet to come across an American that hasn't and did not grew to love this peculiar place as much as we do. And kudos for wanting to learn the language where it isn't required, that shows class!

So why you would not be able to drive in the Netherlands? We have cars here as well. Just do an driving exam @CBR costs are 138,50 euro and before you can do the driving exam you need to pass the theory exam 55 euro ( you can do that in english ). Because you have driving experience in the US you will not need many lessons at a driving school. If you do need driving lessons before the exam. The average costs a driving schools asks is 55 euro for 1 hour. Good luck!

You could have saved a lot on medical (and dental) stuff by postponing it until after arrival in the Netherlands.

Out of curiosity, what does a dentist checkup cost in the US? In the Netherlands it costs like 40 euros. I pay it out of pocket too because I choose not to have dental insurance because I never need any procedures other than checkups.
@kayshaynee9 күн бұрын
My cleaning/check up with my type of insurance was free 2 times a year. Without insurance it would cost $140 at my dentist
