33 years in Australia. No, you never do tire of gum trees. Love the varieties, the colours. The smell of home. And the parrots, even though I have a gazillion of them in my garden every day, I am still thrilled by them.

A tip. If you have a garden, plant native Australian flowering plants to attract the birds. Or if you are in the right place, sunflowers for the parrots.

Hi Natasha, I’m in the same situation, have flights booked for November. A little nervous with a potential flight cancellation as I’m selling everything in the UK and will have no place to leave after the flight’s date! Did you manage to go out ok in June or were there any issues with your flights?
@1njfrench
@1njfrench 3 жыл бұрын
@@luanamarquezoni4605 Hi. We didn’t make it in 1 June, but managed to book another flight on 15 June. In the end we had to book LHR-SIN with Singapore airlines and SIN-PER with Scoot (owned by SA) We had to call them to link the bookings so we didn’t get stranded at Singapore. The flight to Singapore was busier than I expected but not full. There were roughly 12 people on the flight to Perth.

@@danielleinglis7984 I am so sorry for not replying sooner. Our visa was granted 5 years ago, but for one reason or another we couldn’t move any earlier. I was included as a dependent on my father’s visa (employer sponsored) so I’m not sure who helped him with the visa process. I will find out this evening and get back to you. My understanding is Australia isn’t granting many visas at the moment and are prioritising those persons with more points. I can’t remember the exact number but was told this during a webinar from the Down Under Centre. This, however, was before the caps were halved so I imagine the situation is worse now ☹️

I google searched my American teacher from my high school days in the eighties.( Since her name is quite easy to remember ... Hilary Whitehouse ) After all this time, she didn't go far. She's now living in Cairns Queensland and yes. It is her. I do recognise the picture only she is older looking now ( expectedly ) but still looks good otherwise. I thought she may have went back to America but looks like she must have fell for Australia and Cairns Queensland is a beautiful place too. She is now some kind of research professor but still involved with teaching I think.

Hello. I am planning to move to Australia after completing my degree program. I am from Fiji Islands. I would love to ask and seek your advice on how you managed to get things through and find a job in Australia. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Heyy random question I want to move soon. I will be a music teacher will two years experience.i know I can immigrate as a teacher with a working visa however if I get a job as a teacher will I be able to get another job to? As I also want to teach piano and get an agent to perform as I do in uk
@CatLScully
@CatLScully 3 жыл бұрын
Hiya, I’m sorry I have no idea!! I would assume that would be fine so long as it doesn’t break or infringe on the contract for the job that’s got you the visa. You’d have to check the visa regulations though to be sure
@Funkster228
@Funkster228 3 жыл бұрын
Jumping in to answer here but that really depends on the kind of visa you’re getting. The best thing would be to get a reputable migration agent (the trustworthy ones are accredited by MARA) and they can advise you. This is because the requirements for teachers will differ depending on which state/region you’re going to especially if you’re applying for a 491 regional visa.
