Went to college on Remsen St. Loved, absolutely loved Brooklyn Heights. In school there were two problems, the cost and parking. Now decades later still love the neighborhood and the problems are the same, cost and parking.

I have worked and lived in the 5 continents from Canada, Mexico, Panama, Europe, Middle East, Thailand, Asutralia however my heart belongs to Brooklyn and I named my cat Brooklyn. Manhattan Beach is the most upscale waterfront neighborhood while Brooklyn Heights is a most sought neighborhoods in Brooklyn. For the cleanness, Manhattan Beach is much cleaner than Brooklyn Heights, but for the harbor view and skyline, Brooklyn Heights is much better than Williamsburg, Green Point, Long Island City and Astoria.

Odd as it sounds, Brooklyn Heights was considered suburban living outside of Manhattan and Astoria Queens was considered a summer resort town outside of Manhattan where the only year round residents were considered country people.

Old Fulton St., and environs are in DUMBO, NOT BROOKLYN HEIGHTS! Also, the boroughs of New York City aren't suburbs. They're part of the city. This isn't a semantic distinction. Jeeze!

There's nothing left in Brooklyn Heights. All of the charm is gone. So many shops, restaurants and other businesses are shuttered because they can no longer afford the rent.

You couldn’t pay me enough to live and work in that 💩hole Brooklyn ever again. And yes, I lived in the area he’s filming. Lived there my whole life. Now I live in a gated community paradise on a golf course with magnificent views of mountains etc. I love every bit of it .

@xpat73 What would you say makes Brooklyn Heights crappy? I haven't been there yet but plan to move there. I heard the streets are quiet and crime is really low.
