Hi, Good information and just want to add more things on it one is Person cannot sponsor a refugee at his or her own and must be a part of group. Second refugee can be claimed at port of entry while entering into Canada

Hi I am a refugee recognized by UNHCR; my case was recently referred to Canadian embassy for resettlement. I have already been for biometrics and medical exam. Recently, my status on IRCC tool changed from "in processing" to "Decision Made" on 21 Feb 2023. On the same day I got an email to sign up for pre-arrival services. I need to ask how does it take after it shows "Decision Made" to get the decision email?

Very difficult for most Indians to get asylum in Canada. You’ll be expected to show that you’ve attempted to move to other areas of India and none of India is safe. The amount of money given to you through welfare is not enough to live comfortably and most asylum applicants live in very poor conditions. You are indicating that they will have their needs met. Most are dependent on charity to survive. Think you are giving a false impression on both how easy it may be for I Dian citizens to get asylum and how difficult it is to live waiting for your hearing.

@@parmindergill56 some are given the false impression that it will be easy way to get asylum, that it will be a fast way to get PR, that it is a way to remain in Canada and work without having to attend and pay for school, etc. There are minorities in India that can face discrimination but unless you have proof of personal situation of persecution and that you’ve tried to find safety in other regions of India it can be difficult to get asylum. There are cases where asylum is warranted but this tends to be very specific to the individual and you need to have proof that you have tried to find safety in India and no matter what you do your life is still at risk.
