Cleveland is not a very recreational boater friendly area. To enjoy anything other than just the very downtown area you will need to spend thousands of dollars in fuel or hours of time to head toward the Islands area. We boated out of Cleveland for years and you just end up cruising around in the breakwater or up and down the river. If you instead dock your vessel in Port Clinton, Catawba, or Sandusky you will save yourself thousands and thousands of dollars worth of fuel and time.
