I am thinking about moving there too next year. Did you actually move? If so how has your experience been so far? Would you recommend the move?

Hi girl, heyyyy! I live in MD and have been thinking about relocating to Dallas after I finish cosmetology school next year. How’s the beauty industry out there?

I’m from Pittsburgh, I’m actually looking to move to the Addison area. I was unaware how much of a serious threat tornados were to the area. That sounds a little scary. Should I look elsewhere?

It’s not so bad I don’t think as it’s just a season . But I have seen a lot of damage to buildings and homes this last tornado season. It’s just decide if you want to weather the storm when it comes . Great place to live although

Thank you for sharing I moved to Texas April from Florida bad timing lol everything was shut down shortly after... I’m currently staying with a friend and her husband in the Waxahachie area but I’m desperately looking for an apartment any suggestions? The great news is I found a job ASAP just was wondering how hard it would be to get a place I have the money and credit but not the long term employment locally

The employment doesn’t necessarily have be long term in Texas . If you have out of state income , that can still be used. Right now with the pandemic it makes things even harder because many aren’t moving and a lot of company are not forcing them out

I have bad credit .. is Texas big on having good credit to get approved for apartments ? And do you know if any take your bank account amount if you’ve don’t have a job yet ? Thank you

When it comes to credit, it's your ticket in the door no matter where you are unfortunately. There are some second-chance apartments that may do a soft check but I am not knowledgeable about that. I would recommend investing all your money in getting your credit score together. You may not want to but your credit score is money at the end and will open a lot of doors for you. Look into becoming an authorized user for another persons account. This will allow you to rep the benefits of their credit history. I hope this helps :)

I visited Dallas this month and in my city we don’t have traffic at all and I don’t think the traffic was that bad 🤷🏽♀️💯 but I plan to move to north Dallas in November of 2022 and I’m excited my biggest worry is will people call me for a job interview even tho I live in Ohio . ALSO how much money would you say we should save before moving
