Yes, I got my professional visa and I confirm it is the best...I mean, It has no attachments entirely, as long as your degree is registered in SENECYT (it's the govt body that approves uni docs and basically give you a tittle to your profession). you don't even need to be working (but having any contract helps better) the other small docs are easy to find (like migration certificate, Certificate of good conduct/entecedentes penales, etc) . However, there is also need to register with voluntery government insurance which is called IESS (they tend to trust more people with IESS than people with private insurance) My personal Permanent professional visa was very easy to get as long as I had the SENECYT certificate

She could have elaborated on obtaining citizenship. 2 years as temporary resident. Then obtain your permanent resedency for 3 more years. Then on 5th. Year apply for citizenship to obtain ecuadorian passport. I believe the residency cedula allows you to visit the Mercosur member states. Ecuador is an assosiated state. Which allows you to work ( no need for permit ) in those countries, education and healthcare. For your freedom. 🙏

It would be a dream if air travel to anywhere outside of Quito and Guayaquil were without extensive waiting in between stops. Especially from Canada. Travel implies two stops untill Miami, the very long stopovers. Maybe one day.

Spen Genniro. You need as everybody an income of 1350 bucks per mo. or an income of 450 if you're profesional. Other option, but no the last, invest 45k +an income of 450 monthly. Visa free is to enter as tourist but if you wanna live there, you need other requirements. Greetings, try and never give up!

Like Asdrubal said, starting up in Ecuador is very easy. you can come without any much money...as long as you come as a tourist, then within the three months, try to find a job that can give you a contract, good thing is that, Ecuador isn't so strick with what kind of job you are doing...and if you go for a work visa, almost all documents are provided by the company or place you are working with. However, I suggest a professional visa (if you have a university degree) the only challenge can be apostilling your university docs...but it's completely manageable. with a certificate from SENECYT (a body that registers uni credentials), then it's very very easy to get a professional visa, which in my case, I consider to be the best. coz the visa doesn't have many attachments (free to do whatever you like) Therefore, two things you need to consider, first, getting a round ticket which can be quiet expensive from African (unless you are living in other nearer parts of the world) and coming as a tourist (quiet easy) and then come with all university documets already approved by your university, ministry of education, ministry to foreign affairs (all have to put stamps of the documents and write a letter to prove that your documents are legal) and if you are lucky to have an Ecuadorian embassy in your country, take the documents also there to finally put that stamp and that is the Apostill process they recognize most) then come and process the professional visa which is easy in that case. sorry to write a lot.

@@newmanh If you have a Bachelor's from one University, a Master's from another University, is apostilling required only for the Master's degree? Or we need to get every degree apostilled?

Hi Guys, another quesiton for part two. Pensioners and/or investors are 6 months bank statements necessary? Seems a replication since one is proviing a Pension or Social Security Statement. Your thoughts/experience. Thanks.

Professional Visa allows you to work? And it requires $450 monthly income but if that's from a job, and if I'm leaving that job when I move to Ecuador, is that okay? Or is it necessary to have $450 monthly income coming from outside of Ecuador while living in Ecuador, even while working there?
@LivingLovingAbroad
@LivingLovingAbroad Жыл бұрын
Yes, it doesn’t matter where the funds come from, you just have to show the deposits. You could just transfer the funds from another bank account to show the monthly deposits

Do you have to renew the permanent residency visa?
@LivingLovingAbroad
@LivingLovingAbroad Жыл бұрын
As long as you don't go over the number of days outside of Ecuador during your permanent residency visa, it will remain active. At that point you would have spent 4 years in the country. Hope that helps, thanks.

Thanks !!! My question, is with investors visa, are there any travel restrictions to and from states, after getting investment visa and cedula ? And is there/what is insurance requirement needed to process visa, and up until Cedula is acquired ? How long approximately, after getting visa does it take to get ones Cedula ? Are the lines long and is it a nightmare ? thanks in advance.Do we say Happy Spring or Happy Fall to you folk in Ecuador ? 🙂
@LivingLovingAbroad
@LivingLovingAbroad Жыл бұрын
Lol, I guess it's fall, but it still looks and feels like summer. The investment Visa has no travel restrictions. You don't have to get a Cedula, but it certainly helps have it. You are required to have insurance to get a Cedula, which means you'll have to sign up for a private policy. Once you have your Cedula you can then apply for the public IESS health insurance. The process only takes about a week or two for the cedula as long as there are no delays on behalf of the government office.
@newmanh
@newmanh Жыл бұрын
Allow me to explain a few stuff...I might not necessarily talk about the investor's visa but let me explain a little about the cedula after visa and the hustle. The cedula is given immediately after you get the visa. the process changed just recently, when you get a visa (most if not all, visas are now electronic), you have to travel back to the offices after getting the visa in your email, they print for you a document and it is that document that you take to the cedula registro civil to get a new cedula, and I think if you go early morning, you can get it by mid afternoon. The process really depends on the day. sometimes there are many people but the building which hosts visas especially in Guayaquil has enough sits for one to sit and wait for the turn (turno) which are numbers you're giving and are displayed on the screen. NOTE: Sometimes they tend to make people wait and make lines outside and the heat is unbarerable, but that also depends on the number of people and the time (mostly 8 -9 a.m when they are opening). I find Guayaquil cancilleria a better option with visas, its has an ample space for many people.... Anyway, the cédula entirely depends on the visa. since most temporaly visas are two years, the cedula/National ID also takes around the same valid time.

I think Investment Visa is the best option for people who don't qualify due to their low income because just need to invest 45k CD + $450 income and for the same amount, wife and children would qualify. In addition, with that high rate (8%) you'd have a profit of $300 monthly. interesting guest and good video.
