Come on up! There are many jobs here in the Treasure Valley and in Nampa. Yes things have changed during the virus, but there are still many places to get jobs. If you happen to be in construction then you'll find a job real quick! There's many other types of places with Help Wanted signs out too. If I can help, just let me know!

When I moved to Boise in January of 2000; I had no problem changing my Washington state drivers license to an Idaho state drivers license; and when I moved to Louisville, Kentucky in late April in 2000;I changed my Idaho state drivers license to a Kentucky state drivers license; and I’ve had my Kentucky state drivers license all this time!

Yes, it's a pretty easy process. On a side note, my wife just renewed her Idaho license... she could do it online and renew for 8 years but instead she went in-person and renewed for 12 years. So cool!!

Good morning! Yes, when you're standing at the DMV counter, they will have you look into a machine real quick to check your eyes.

Hi Stanley! Here's the link to the Idaho DMV practice test. I'm glad you're studying ahead of time... I've seen a lot of smart people who didn't pass the test the first time because they didn't study first. There are some things different in Idaho than in other places. www.idaho.gov/driving/practice-test/

I have already downloaded the softcopy to study, but will not mind getting the hardcopy too. I guess it will cost more to send it over. Would be great if there is a way to purchase it online.

It used to be a 5 minute thing... before corona (BC). Now it takes a little bit longer. The registration is based on age and is going to be way cheaper than California. What about CDL?

@@SRZRB I got my CDL a few years ago here... my first time. It was pretty normal except I had to have a background check for hazmat. Also you'll a tractor and trailer to take the driving part of the test. You may not have to do the driving test if you are transferring in... like you don't have to do a written test for a car if you already have a license from another state. If you have a CDL, you'll have lots of opportunity for work!!
