Live there in 2022 found that there’s a doctor shortage or healthcare is backed up. There’s at least a eight month waiting. Just to see a primary. also, the educational field teachers get paid really low and traffic has gotten really bad.

2 of our neighbors both worked at the same hospital in Nampa, both moved due to poor leadership in the hospitals. one moved out east, the other out west more, and yes the teachers here never seem to get paid well sadly, traffic on Middelton is really really bad

Nampa has grown way too fast! Farmers sold their land to developers who are building cheap houses close together. Seems as if no one thought about how they were going to accommodate all the extra people - they just built with reckless abandon. Traffic is awful, health care is lacking and most restaurants are Mexican, but then if that is what you're used to, you will think Nampa is great.
@Mike-kc5ew4 ай бұрын
It's really more complex than that though, there's less people going into the profession of farming, and many of the current farmers are aging and getting older and have nobody to pass their farm on to. Plus the high demand for the land in the towns and cities by the major arterial roads means that for those areas it really is more valuable as developed land instead of farm land. I'm a Native Idahoan, and I've lived in Nampa since 1992 (so 32 years), and I agree that traffic is not great in Nampa, but I've been blessed to travel for work, and there's a number of places (in bigger areas) that are a lot worse than here. It also doesn't help when the city tries to pass a bond to improve the roads, one that would have replaced an expiring bond, and people vote against it. So the people of Nampa kind of need to decide that they want better traffic conditions as well. As far as restaurants go, I do like Mexican restaurants, and Thai, and Vietnamese, and German, and European, and a good burger every now and then, and we have a lot of those and more have been added over time. There's a number of places that you should check out and expand your awareness if you're looking for other food options. I just wish we had a good Indian restaurant in Nampa. I sadly have to go all the way to Meridian if I want Indian food. 😥
@caroleanne85294 ай бұрын
@@Mike-kc5ew I surely do not blame the farmers for selling their land, but it does anger me when people who have lived here a long time do not vote for things we need because taxes will go up and they blame the influx of new people - like voting down the ambulance levy. Taxes here are very low. Hey, it is what it is, love it or leave it.

The roads can't handle the huge population increase that's for sure. They aren't ready. We moved out to Utah for 7 years where it was worse, but when we finally had a chance to move again we found somewhere less populated. Idaho is full of tiny towns. If you want rural life Nampa is not it anymore.

nampa has yet to update their signs outside the city limits, some signs still say 100,000, some say 108,000, online it told me 120,000, been here since 2000 when it was like 46,000 or 48,000, i think one of the signs near us was last updated 10 years ago, so its been a while! our home does the halloween yard with the lifesize cemetery tombstones and christmas display in Nampa idaho. we first had 250 guests in 2011-2012, it has exploded to around 800-900 now or so, its gotten crazy the past few years!
@Mike-kc5ew4 ай бұрын
I think in Idaho legally they only have to update those once after each Census, so the last Census said that it was 100,200 and that's what's listed on a lot of the signs currently. Which really doesn't mean a lot when there's high growth. Currently the U.S. Census main website estimates there were 114,268 in Nampa on July 1, 2023 (which is the last year there is data for, but they should update that estimate in the next month or so).
@FordFalcon1962nBlue3 ай бұрын
@@Mike-kc5ew true, construction is picking up again in parts of Nampa, the 114,000 number seems to be accurate for 2023, a year later now im guessing its at least 118,000 to 119,000. plus with so many partments all over and people moving in and out it probably is hard to get a 100% accurate census, a rough gross estimate is probably the best for now.

I will be retired and am wondering about the new homes in Nampa? Are they good safe quiet neighborhoods away from railroads? I am on medication for traffic anxiety and NEED quiet and am wondering how bad the traffic is in Nampa area??. Are the roads in great condition to drive your car? I understand traffic is terrible in Boise but It isn't worse than the San Francisco, CA bay area? How long are the lines in grocery stores like Costco, banks, doctor offices? CALIFORNIA IS 🤢🤮 the worst when it comes to waiting in the longest lines you can imagine for whatever kind of services you may need. Parking his HORRID to near non existent. Is parking difficult to get when going to these businesses? These are just SOME of the reasons I need to leave. I am also very conservative. I would be interested in your locating services.👍
