Mt. Etna is not so bad. The only problem is the ash that interferes with the planes taking off and landing at the airport in Catania. Last year the airport shut down when I had a flight to Rome. I ended up taking the bus instead. 😃

@evelyneliaz, Oh, I'm sure that was frustrating. I have friends that have lived in that area and said it is quite slick to drive on roads with the ash falling. I know it increases and decreases depending on volcanic activity. We certainly appreciate you watching! ❤️ Ciao, Carol

@ellmiller2013, oh, wow, that would be expensive. Are you asking about taxes on importing a vehicle? I have no idea because we will not be doing that. If you're referring to income tax, yes, but U.S. and Italy have no double taxation agreement. We don't give tax advice, and we are finding out for our situation regarding this very thing. If a person moves abroad before retiring, there is no penalty if you do not choose to have Medicare.

@evelyneliaz, Hi Evelyn! Croce already has Medicare - Part A. They sent that automatically when he turned 65. We want to have Part B for when we visit because we don't want to be without coverage each time we're in the U.S. Not sure how much the penalty is for delayed sign-up for Part B. We will let everyone know after our appt. We are gathering all the info for retirement, and it's getting really exciting! 💕 Thanks for stopping by.
