"Just be that neighbor you have always wanted to be, and you will fit right in." A wise suggestion and sound advice.
@AndyLuskHomes-Nashville2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eric! Funny thing is, when I said that, what was going through my head was "be the neighbor you'd want your neighbor to be". That's not what came out, but I kept it anyway.
@WorldvsTruth2 жыл бұрын
@@AndyLuskHomes-Nashville Works either way Andy. Of course, I did briefly consider "What if someone has every intention of being the worst kind of neighbor Tennessee has ever seen?" Then the answer occurred to me just as quickly: That person would have the fastest escorted move out, in the State's history! Have a fantastic day.

Moved from the Los Angeles area to Montgomery County 8 months ago and couldn't be happier.. I have more land, can shoot my guns in my backyard and dont have neighbors right up my butt. Poltically I am more in line with the majority in TN where in CA someone woulda thrown a brick through my window if I had a certain flag flying for a certain president....Here its complete opposite. Much better place to raise a family

The wife and I retired and moved to Eastern TN from OH, because we have been vacationing here every summer since the 80's and we love it. We recently got a new neighbor who moved here from CA. During a get acquainted chat, he mentioned that people he didn't even know in the neighborhood waved at him when he walked, and was kind of surprised about it. We just laughed and told him that's just the way people are down here, and there was no ulterior motive behind it. It's a great place to live with friendly, warm, welcoming people.

Do not move to Tennessee if you still think that the Goverment owes you a living, or you want someone to take care of you. If you don't believe in God don't come here. If you don't love family, the Bible or guns don't come here. Just sent to me in an email: A Yougov poll taken this year revealed that Nashville is the nation's most favorite city. The poll results were basically showing the largest cities in America. Some town of 2,000 people would not be part of this poll. As others have indicated in the comments, the nice Southern charm is not so easy to find any more. The traffic on Saturday mornings is now worse than weekday rush hours were 20 years ago. For example, at 11 AM on Saturday, 5/14/22, the line of traffic waiting to enter I-40 East at Charlotte Pike (exit 201) stretched back to the entrance to I-40 West and adjacent to Cracker Barrel.

So tennesse towns have old charm. Here is the million dollar question. With the extreme amount of California residents moving there will these towns continue to have the old charm? Reason I ask is if I'm correct someone moving from LA would have been living big city life. Ebikes, skate boards, 1 wheels etc. In your opinion will the areas become more city like.
@AndyLuskHomes-Nashville2 жыл бұрын
Hey Thomas, thanks for the question. Californians moving to TN is not a new thing, but you're right, the amount has increased recently. So have the numbers coming from Illinois, New York and other parts of the country. I think the charm you mentioned is part of the reason. Tennessee towns are pretty good at retaining their charm...whether their bikes have pedals or batteries.

@@kbanghart Declining tax revenues and public welfare costs rising through the roof; utilities prices higher than average by half, yet areas still have rolling blackouts as SoCal closes its natural gas plants, so the state spends millions bringing in electricity from other states; your lawmakers have created a situation where CA's percentage of consumption from imports went up more than 11 fold from 5% to 57%; your state is paying close to $75 million a day in oil importation which doubly affects your state unemployment rate in lost oil jobs plus the horrific gas prices, while your governor wants to further reduce CA oil production----Compare that with Tennessee, and you see why 1,100 Californians move to Tennessee every month, and why there are real estate agents marketing explicitly to Californians wanting to move to Tennessee. Just on my street, in the past 18 months, 14 houses have either been sold to Californians or had houses demolished with newer, larger homes constructed and sold to Californians. All of those states that people are moving TO are conservative states. There is a reason people are moving away from liberalism and I hope they do not vote the same way that they did in California. Please, please do not change our great conservative states to blue. It has already been done in Arizona. They must have forgotten that they left that mess for a reason, yet now they brought their voting habits to AZ and even Georgia and I fear for beautiful Tennessee. It is very sad because those states will now be chipped away and ruined similar to California because people are bringing their voting habits with them. In red states, especially Tennessee, people are friendly, most are God loving, faith based, and welcoming - please don't change that. Remember, at one point, California was a strong conservative state ... we all know the mess it has become.
