Many people underestimate the heat. My iPhone had a warning flash up yesterday telling me the iPhone was overheating. It can be savage at times

He forgot language. If you're going to live there full time you need to learn Thai. It's a very difficult tonal language and that will be a huge challenge.

Glad you like the videos. If I were in your position I’d look at transferring an existing skill or learn a new one and start an online business. Ecommerce, coaching, consulting etc. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is KZbin. So many people think they can make a living from YT. There are lots of easier and more lucrative ways to make money online.

Hard to answer as we all enjoy different lifestyles. I met a teacher the other day who earns the equivalent to $1,100 per month and enjoys life out here. Whereas I probably spend that amount on Dim Sum a month. In all seriousness I’d say minimum $2,000 per month. Ideally more.

25 ago years Pattaya had a huge community of UK people living there full time on sickness benefits it was normal. I was one my self and could live easy live a good life style with a different bar girl daily rented for 24, hours and daily drinking while island hopping regular. These days Visa laws change every few months but when you know how it's possible when introduced to the Thai immigration back door system that many expats use for a price.

I think the “good old days” are sadly a thing of the past for many retirees in Thailand. At least, that’s what many guys I meet tell me. Are you still based in Thailand?
