Shoulder Dolly. We bought them at Princess Auto and my wife and I moved a front load washer today. They were awesome!!

Thank you for the video. Short and sweet. I hate it when channels just drag and drag a 2 minute video into 10 minutes.

This looks much smarter than how I've seen in the other videos, they had the damn straps on their wrists. So they probably weren't real movers either. But these guys said they are. My husband used to work for a moving company and he knew what he was doing. He even showed his coworkers smarter ways to do things, I wish he would of had these when he worked for them though

Good video!! All the people making rude comments don’t realize that it’s possible this was just a demo to show how to use the straps, or maybe when someone does this everyday 5-6 days a week they might be protecting themselves from back injuries and pain later in life!!

That's what I tried to tell my co-workers about!!!! The shoulder strap hump strap!!!!! Makes stuff so much easier on the body and reduces damage. Nice video bro.

Great job guys. You may also want to add that in addition the guy on top being comfortable with walking backwards, the guy below should visibly sync his steps with his partner. The old 1-2-3 count-off won't be a bad idea. If he's too slow, it could throw his buddy's back out because he's leaning forward awkwardly and if he's is too fast, he could make top guy trip. Good vid.

I've used an older version of lifting straps that went onto your forearms (Forearm Forklifts) instead of using shoulder harnesses. A co-worker and I moved several heavy/bulky/awkward items, some weighing over 300 pounds with relative ease. I'd like to try the harness version sometime because they free up your hands more.

The shoulder straps look great and you guys made it look easy except for the top guy's left foot. I'd be worried about mine getting caught up in the dresser and then I'd walk too fast up to get away. Still a great video.

This is hard work.I bought a heavy vanity and the cashier sent some young skinny guy to load it in my truck. I said No way you touch this damn thing alone you need two ppl . I waited untill the store send one more guy. The stores use young ppl even students with no experience , they ruin their back and at the age of 40 they are on disability. Moving heavy stuff is not for everyone.

Bro, why wouldn’t you use anything to help make the job easier than it needs to be.
@louistorres75703 жыл бұрын
That's a very good point you make and one that I would agree with, but when the time comes that you cant use the strap for some reason ( narrow turning stairs where you have to stand it then flip it) then the finesse is gone leading to incompetence which leads to damages and even depending on the crew finger pointing. So in conclusion it's a very good product but one that can hinder the skills of the operator if used too often

you need to buy ORIGINAL FOREARM FORKLIFT STRAPS. the other fake straps are very dangerous, it could be fatal as they are not strong enough and can break off while carrying heavy things.

I'm a mover also....by the time those guys put on all those straps and get set up, they could have had it up the stairs already!!! Our customers pay to get sh@@ done quick . We only use the forearm forklift straps on heavy queen mattresses and most kings.Too dangerous on rigid square heavy furniture especially on stairs!! We are CHEAP BEST MOVERS and our tip on this video is : The first guy turns around backward and grabs his end of the dresser by reaching backwards....then the bottom guy bends down and picks up his end...This way both guys are walking forwand and if they keep it vertical(not leaning to one side or the other) then its so very easy...Once in the destination room the bottom guy sets his end down first , then the top guy carefully turns around and sets his down. Note ....on multiple turn stairways this only works if the stairway is rather wide.....for narrow ones, the top guy MUST do the conventional "walk backward " thing.....as he has to set his end down at the top of each landing enabling them to pivot the dresser around and set up for the next flight....The backwards grab method mentioned ealier takes some getting used to, but once you do its much easier on your back and legs....and can use on those heavy ass leather 3 seat couches also.....ARGHH... those are the worst!!!

NO.....uniforms don’t make someone professional!!! I have seen many movers that are experienced and professional!! Also, private handy man services that have saved me several times, and no uniform!! The companies that wear uniforms charge you a fortune in my experience. It’s all personal preference!! Stop criticizing people!!

Congrats, you can move one piece a little faster. Now try moving heavy furniture for several hours a day and multiple days a week for years. It takes a toll on anyone's body.
@stephenlott69685 жыл бұрын
Lol. Try that every day, for about 8 hours a day. You'll look for shortcuts too if you're smart. Being a professional mover is about making money and hopefully not getting hurt. It's not about showing off how strong you are or how fast you can carry something up the stairs. That's what children do when they "help" on moving day, not grown ass professional movers.

Real movers most certainly do use these. Maybe if you're just helping your "homie" move a few pieces of furniture for one day you may not need these, but actual movers that do this for several hours a day and several days a week all the time, this is a major life saver. But you're probably still 12 and think you look cool by trying to be macho man in front of all your internet buddies.
