We do Sabbath on Saturday(Friday at sundown till Saturday at Sundown)We go to church in the morning and then we have lunch there and fellowship then go home and relax. We do not spend any money, do any chores, or allow someone to work for us during this time.

My husband and I sabbath Friday night through Saturday, it feels fitting and much needed right after the work week ends. Friday before dinner we clean up the house so there's nothing to worry about doing on Saturday. We spend the day off our phones, we sleep in (get like 12 hours of sleep LOL) we start the day at a coffee shop and get lunch there too, we rest from any shopping or wanting, it's a day to be satisfied and thankful for everything we have. We spend the middle of the day reading/praying, taking a short nap, going on a walk if it's nice out, Delighting in the world that God created, delighting in good food too! In the evenings we play games, get our favorite takeout, and then at night watch our favorite show at our families house. We've been doing this for only about half a year so we're still learning what works for us and how God wants our sabbath to look like! I feel like not a lot of people talk about this so I would love to see you guys sharing about your experience once you start :)

I actually take a Sabbath every Saturday - it was originally on this day of the week. As a family we devote the day to spending time together, date days, trips, etc, we also cheat on our healthy lifestyles (it’s the only day we cheat), and the only rule is absolutely no work - no emails, texts, etc. It’s a day for family, fun, and Christ.

Also - we work 6 days a week and take the 7th day off. That’s the other thing :)

Thank you for sharing about normalizing speaking in tongues ! I really know I need to speak in my prayer language I have the gift but I don’t do it regularly, but I feel as if God wants me too and that’s something my mother in law told me to do. To use it regularly and it’s a gift from God and we shouldn’t leave it dormant it’s very encouraging to know you and Kyle are using your prayer language 🙏🏻♥️

The way I like to Sabbath is plan my week so I don't have to cook or clean on Sabbath. Typically my Friday is spent doing any cooking and cleaning I didn't get done during the week. When Sabbath starts I like to pray and have worship in song and reading scripture. In the Jewish faith they light candles and bless the family members and the home to open the Sabbath which i would love to encorporate. Saturday I go to church and I try to have lunch with a church member if there's no potluck. Otherwise after church I like to nap and go on hike with some snacks and just be in nature and have a date with God. I like to close the Sabbath with a song and prayer and spend the time after sunset to connect with family or friends over the phone.

Exodus 20- the 4th commandment speaks about how to spend the Sabbath, and that it should be kept Holy on the Seventh-Day, from Friday night to Saturday night at sunset. 😊

Would you ever consider doing a video with Kyle about speaking in tongues? I grew up in an environment and currently attend a church where the belief is that Spiritual gifts are not apart of the modern day church. I can see both sides of the argument, but my heart leans towards believing it is possible. I think you and Kyle have so much wisdom and I’d love to hear how you find it biblically, how to ask the Lord for it, and more!
@efuakoomson598 Жыл бұрын
Believing that the spiritual gifts don't apply to the modern church isn't compatible with God and the Bible. Because the Bible says "God is the same yesterday, today and forever". It would be good to read James 1:17. It says God doesn't change like "Shifting shadows'. When Jesus said he would send his Helper (aka the Holy Spirit) it means the Holy Spirit will remain with us. See how nowhere from that point on in the Bible does God say anything about things being impossible for God or the Holy Spirit withholding his Gifts. Where the Holy Spirit is, there is Freedom and His ability to Give Gifts. The Holy Spirit is God, so He is omnipresent and omnipotent. He is always Present and Never Changing. Anything about the Character of God the Bible says, Applies to the Holy Spirit. When the Bible says God is Generous, it means the Holy Spirit is also generous, and willing to give His Gifts to whoever He plans and when you ask. The Modern Church and the Biblical Times Church are all one they are the 'Church & Bride of Christ'. They aren't different and God doesn't treat them differently. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit applied to the Early church the same us Now. Because God doesn't Change❤️♥️ That is Why. Read 1 Corinthians 14, carefully. Remember this, if the Tongues Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians is the same tongues is just speaking in different Earthly languages (Acts), if speaking in Tongues edifies only Yourself (the Speaker) and you must Pray for Yourself to Interpret it or someone else to interpret it, Then how could the Tongues in Corinthians be an Earthly tongues. If you speak a language by the Power of The Holy Spirit that you don't understand, if someone in the congregation knows that language they could interpret what you said Without PRAYING or the Gift of Interpration specifically from the Holy Spirit. They could interpret by human knowledge. That doesn't match the Holy Spirit influence the Bible says Tongues only works by. Remember, Paul equates Speaking in Tongues to 'Singing with his spirit's. He is then taking about singing/speaking in a language that is directed to GOD from his Spirit. Which is what Tongues (the type in 1Cornthians 14 is and is a Gift of the Holy Spirit). Tongues is a language directed to/from God only God can discern that Edifies your Spirit and would Edify the spirit of others in the Church if the Message was Interpreted to them) 1 Corinthians says: 14 'For if I pray ina tongue, my spirit prays'. Praying in French at church if you only understand English is not Your 'Spirit praying' it is only saying a Message that someone else that speaks French could easily Interpret humanely. It is not Holy Spirit led. This is why the Heavenly Language of Tongues Paul speaks about in Corinthians requires Interpretation to be Prayed 'For' and can the Spirit and People of the Church. kzbin.infolrH15JbJWSY?feature=share Thanks, I hope that God opens your eyes to His Holy Spirit and the Truth. Then you will want to Speak Tongues as Much as Paul😍😉🥰😎❤️♥️

There seems to be so much confusion when it comes to the topic of speaking in tongues. During Pentecost, the Holy Spirit filled the place and He gave the apostles and all the followers of Christs who were there the gift of tongues so that they could go preach the gospel to all the ends of the world. People from different parts and all over the place could understand what the disciples were preaching because they were speaking in their own native tongues which the disciples had never learned before. And then Paul, whom himself had the gift of tongues speaks about how God is a God of order and that when we speak in tongues there shouldn’t be many people speaking at once and that there should be translators so that everyone can understand. So He is clearly talking about the different native tongues of different countries and peoples, which those with the gift of interpretation can help multiply even more by translating what is being said in another tongues to those who don’t understand it.
@averywatson4538 Жыл бұрын
It’s definitely confusing. I grew up speaking in tongues and then my campus ministry encouraged me to read what the Bible says about it because I was feeling a sense myself distancing from speaking in tongues. After researching it more it left me more confused than I was before. I haven’t spoken in tongues for a couple of years because I feel uncertainty about it still and praying for clarity hasn’t gotten me anywhere either. I can see how people can have very different views about it because of how the scripture is interpreted. I think it’s wise for people to read about it and do their own research before desiring the gift or telling others that should do it. And I think there is a common misconception that the gift is for everyone(I even used to be a part of a denomination that taught that you had to do it in order to be saved) but the Bible makes it clear that it is a spiritual gift that God gives to certain people just like the other spiritual gifts. I just wish I could have clarity on the subject because I can where people are coming from on both sides.

@@averywatson4538 this made me feel SO normal. I grew up with parents that spoke in tongues and went to many churches where it was a common practice. I always desired to speak in tongues but didn’t receive it until I was 22. I was told it would develop the more I spoke them… idk I just never got there and eventually stopped altogether. Then my now husband explained the scriptures regarding it (he doesn’t believe they’re for today) and I’m even more confused than ever 😂 I do find comfort in knowing that even if I don’t practice them, it does not make me any less saved or close to God.

Exactly. Also, in many languages, "tongue" and "language" are the same word.
@madisonshae2034 Жыл бұрын
@averywatson True! These are all true things. But the gift of tongues is not just for when it’s interpreted. In fact, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:2, “when you speak in a tongue, you speak to God and not to man" meaning, you speak to God! Of course it is used often as a miraculous work for other to be spoken to in their language! But it’s also an angelic language that speak to God and prays his perfect will, as Paul is saying here! Also, the reason that we believe it’s available to everyone is because Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:5 that he wishes ALL of us would speak in tongues! Why would he say that if it wasn’t available to everyone? Hope that’s helpful!
@madisonshae2034 Жыл бұрын
@@lilyrose3005 yes of course it is! But that doesn’t mean that one of those languages isn’t “angelic.” Romans 8:26-27 talks about this when it refers “the spirit himself making groanings for us which can not be understood.” A conservative commentary I read on this says, “this of course is the purpose of the gifts of tongues, to pray in a way that is not limited by our knowledge or our ability to articulate the heart of our God. The purpose of tongues is not to prove that we are “filled with the spirit” or to prove we are especially spiritual.”

I don’t ever want to be the annoying person pushing things on a person especially when it comes to fertility. I’ve been there and couldn’t stand it. I experienced a miscarriage a little over a year ago and have been going through the process of healing my body and trying to conceive again. I feel like I tried absolutely everything until I learned about detoxing. Detoxing heavy metals, plastics, contraceptives and steroids. I didn’t realize the imprint these things leave on the body even if only having a steroid shot once when I was maybe 11! But I thought I’d share since it resonated so much with me and I truly think it could help those of us struggling to get pregnant. Didn't understand what you meant by the laughter thing so researched holy laughter... The most convincing scriptural argument against what is called "holy laughter" is found in Galatians 5:22-23. It says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." If self-control is a fruit of the Spirit of God, how can uncontrollable laughter also be a fruit of His Spirit? Revival leaders claim that being filled with the Spirit means that we are sort of "tossed about" by His whims. But the idea that God would make people act drunk or laugh uncontrollably or make animal noises as a result of the Spirit’s anointing is directly opposed to the way the Spirit acts, according to Galatians 5:22-23. The Spirit described in Galatians 5 is one who promotes self-control within us, not the opposite. Finally, there was no one in the Bible more filled with the Holy Spirit than Jesus, and not once does the Bible ever record Him laughing

I'm curious about the people who don't "do their hair and makeup" regardless of their environments, social pressures and surroundings
@pamm2652 Жыл бұрын
Hi woman, that doesn't do makeup 90% of the time, and when I do, it's normal because of bags under my eyes. And when I do it's very minimum. High school, I felt like my skin looked fine and wanted that extra time to sleep. Also I was going through life, I would hear women talk about makeup that rubbed me the wrong way. "I need to put on my face before we go." "I hate my face" Also noticed a pattern on that one of very heavy makeup. Which lead to the thought of it like real-life photo shoping your face. To where you don't feel comfortable without that. Which I did have a lot of Self esteem issues growing up. So it kind of felt like I would be more likely to have those issues. Making me very minimum on makeup to try and avoid going down that path.
