I completely empathize with your reasons for moving and the overwhelm of having to pack. I did the same thing back in 2019, sold everything in CT and moved to my family’s home country in South America. You’re absolutely right about the physical items - everything is replaceable at the end of the day. Before you know it, you’ll be taking a deeep breath of fresh air in your lovely hometown, and everything you’re worried about now will be a thing of the past. Sending strength and positive vibes for these next few weeks!! You’ve got this babes 💪🏽

Love your videos! But it makes me sad that you live in my home state of MA and feel overwhelmed by guns. IMO , Massachusetts is relatively NOT gun crazy -; but yes, there are some idiots there. But not nearly as many as many other states ( I don't think I have to spell them out😝!😅😅) Im currently in Wisconsin..and some parts of the upper Midwest remind me of the liberalism and relative sanity of much of New England. one of your videos got recommended to me for some reason (I never watch family/child related content) and it's safe to say I'm hooked :D I binge watched at least 8 videos already and I don't intend to stop :D the first thing I noticed and I love it so much that your videos seem so real and down to earth, almost unfiltered version of your days and it's so refreshing! Also the other important thing for me is that you do not use your kids for content, they are there as they need to be. I am so excited for you moving to the UK, I can not imagine how anxious I would be as a mom to have my children in the US in the current circumstances...the only thing is that I need more content on Missy :D especially her move, I would think it's more stressful almost than you moving!

7:18 coming from someone who has flown with camera equipment Kyle is right you just pay for oversized luggage basically. It’ll be annoying actually checking it in and collecting it on your own but a Yeti cooler is a manageable shape so you can fit it and golf clubs or the snowboard in one trip if you use a trolly. Plus if you are flying into Heathrow they have services to help if you are desperate. 10:16 Mulch is less of a thing at home because we have a very wet climate. Mulch helps your soil retain moisture. Areas with sandy soil need it but areas with clay (like London) don’t. Since I’ve started gardening I’ve found out the soil you want is called loam lol

@sarabazlinton98208 ай бұрын
I’ve seen some of your videos before though never subscribed (yes, yes, I have now!), but this one has to be the most relatable for me, at least concerning the stress of moving. 6 years ago I split with my husband, we’d been married nearly 30 years with 3 adult kids, and I’m a childminder so was moving my business with mountains of toys, car seats, buggies etc as well. Due to the crap house selling process in England and solicitors apparently incapable of doing anything properly, it took 5 months, we exchanged contracts on a Tuesday and moved house on Friday of the same week. Bad enough packing up a house you’ve lived in for 28 years in only 3 days whilst working 7.30am-6pm looking after other people’s kids in the house you’re meant to be packing, but throw in the fact of a marriage breakup, with my ex husband taking the family dog with him, my kids never having lived anywhere else so allllll the memories, (we’d also done a massive renovation and two extensions 5 years before and I loved that house) and moving to a grotty house half the size needing a full makeover so trying to declutter ruthlessly as I packed. I think you can tell why it rates as the single most stressful experience of my life. But it was worth it in the end 😅
@Kinrossboyd8 ай бұрын
If you are sending individual boxes, do you have fill in an individual TOR application each time? I know when we send some boxes to my son to Scotland, the tor rules had just been introduced. Although we had correctly filled the customs form, because he didn't have a TOR number, he had to hand over £900+ before they would hand over the boxes, which were his belongings!

I grew up in the u.s. midwest in a wonderfully safe and family friendly town. I moved to a rural area a state over and while it's still plenty safe, the serious lack of nearby, cheap or free, kid activities is maddening. Miss my parks and hiking trails! Hoping to move my family back to my hometown or a town thats more supportive of families. Love living in the country but a kid can only eat rocks and play with cows for so long before they need to socialize with family and friends. Living in the middle of nowhere is not conducive to that 😅

Are you going to try and stock up on that formula before you leave or are you just going to switch milks when you get back to the UK? I Bf'd but I was told by someone, at some point, it is not ideal to switch formula?

It’s luckily a British formula so we can get it after the move ❤️

In 2021 we moved after living in a house for 22years!!!! Going through all our crap was insane. As moving day approached keeping stuff no longer was important to me. I was so over packing. It didn't help that the ac was broken and we also had plumbing issues right before leaving. The house was sold. We didn't leave the country. But had to drive 15hours with 6cats and 4 dogs in 2 cars... up into the mountains. ----- i understand why you are leaving. Many of us wish things were different here. If I had the money I'd probably leave too.

Oh my gosh 22 years! I bet that was hard! Well done for doing it 🩷

@@Mummysflippinhouse thanks. The drive was a bit traumatizing. Couple of my cats got out of their carrier. Stood in front of me while I was driving. I slept for 3 days when we finally got to our new home. Hope all goes smoothly with your family move.

I moved from Wyoming to New York in 2022. I threw out SO MUCH stuff to avoid paying to move it. It cost me almost $7,000 for one person, and I drove my own moving truck! (And I’m only one person)
