Depends what you feed it, if it’s moldy or germ infested the baby will be sick and miserable or if the one is feeding it soy or cows milk formula and it has gut issues, a lot of people in the states lack basic hygiene or knowledge of such things.

It is so nice to see a mom on KZbin who’s not hiding the uglier moments. My kid is 4 and I have anxiety and it’s just nice to see moms also vent about frustrations. My husband sometimes does that weird little annoying things that is vent worthy but I love him more than anything. And sometimes it’s hard to vent with other people understanding the annoying part but also not just assuming oh he’s a bad father, you should split up. Like no girl, he just left the stroller out and the dog peed on it, it’s annoying but not the end of the world 😂

Australian here. I’ve always thought it was weird when my English husband called it a garden. The yard is the entire space, the garden is whatever is in the garden bed. If you’re gardening you’re doing work in the garden bed (weeding, planting plants)
@user547824 ай бұрын
Exactly. And "yard work" can encompass anything like mowing, weeding, lawn care, etc. (In the US.)

I’m Australian 🇦🇺 too and honestly I never thought about it. I think I use garden and yard interchangeably.

Big fat no. A garden is a green space, grass, plants, bushes flowers etc. a space where things grow. A yard is a concrete space. We garden in England, we don’t do yard work.

I just wanted to say thank you for being open and honest about everything. I don't have children yet (been a longer journey than anticipated but we'll get there!) and I really appreciate getting to see just you and how you juggle things and manage it all and hearing how you actually feel peppered in helps make it feel like I'm there and we're just having a chat like a friend coming over for a chat and a cup of tea. Hopefully that doesn't sound weird. It wasn't meant to. 😅 Anyway, thank you so much for being my mum friend while I'm waiting to become a mum. Also, the chat about breastfeeding - really appreciated hearing that. It's something that I find quite intimidating, well the idea of it. And often it seems like there's no choice involved and just a lot of pressure and guilt (and bullying!!), so I really appreciate hearing from someone who is being sensible about it and not just ignoring themselves to do it. Lots of love from Cheshire, UK. ❤

As someone who couldn’t breastfeed my first and hoping I can with my second, I think it’s all your choice. Just because others will force themselves to breastfeed when it’s terrible for their mental health, doesn’t mean you have to suffer through. I’d love to breastfeed my second, who I’m currently pregnant with, but if I get there and it’s terrible, I hope I’ll be allowed to make the best choice for myself and my mental health. I laughed so hard at the ". . . four dogs. . . " , that I had to hit pause! I teared up! That was only hysterical to me because with 4 children and 4 dogs, I have made this minor slip myself! You, girlfriend, are a riot! And yes the Americans need to stop being so foolish and learn Celsius! Canada has! My oldest daughter was 7 before she lost her first tooth. At the time she was in tears at 6 because all her friends either were losing teeth or already had. It was definitely a different season. It does not last. That daughter is now 20years and is finishing up college! I am so proud. Teeth are only important while they are little. Enjoy! Oh ya, my other daughter started losing teeth at 5yrs. Her's also came in early! As a boomer myself, with 8 gardens around 2 sides of our house, I get my husband and children to help me but pacing yourself is the secret. Always listen when you have had enough.

Putting mulch around your plants is such a great way to help the plants cool down and retain moisture! Especially when you live somewhere that gets quite warm in summer time 😁 It also helps suppress weeds, but you can also grow plants that are quite low to the ground to do that too if you want more colour
