Hi Harriet! An idea for the little nook/ hallway in your bedroom: you could put a shoe storage there. Ikea has the "Trones" which takes up little to nothing space. Could be a solution for your shoes.

Honestly it would be such a cute idea but we’ve done something else with the little space in the bedroom (can’t wait for you to see hehe). Plus I prefer to work outside of my bedroom if I can, even though it’s not super aesthetic in the living room hahaha

I really liked the stunning sofa! If I could switch mine, I'd get green velvet as well. Beautiful choice. As for the bedroom "hallway " Nook I'd probably get some drawers for more clothing /misc storage (like ikea malm) and use its top for plants and decor, maybe add a shelf or two in the opposite wall for some hanging plants.

For your clothes, I also have really tall cubbies with lots of unused space and solved it with risers, the kind you get for kitchen organization, and that way i have two levels :) hope it helps!

also suggestions on the closet drawer: turn it into a closed storage. get a bucket/box so it pulls out like a drawer, then you can chuck everything in!

for the closet, you might be able to find (or make) drawers that fit. As to matching IKEA sizes with those of any other store: stop trying. They have their own sizes which are always a bit different from anyone else. Found that out trying to match some of their kitchen stuff like drawer dividers with my kitchen, nothing quite fits.

We learnt this the hard way!!! They even make their mattresses slightly smaller so that you have to buy an IKEA bed.. so ridiculous hahaha

You can get standard furniture feet from bunnings to replace on the bed - then the drawers will fit under the bed - just swap them out for taller ones :)

Look into maybe getting some furniture risers to put under the bed legs to help rise it for the under bed storage❤

For more functional storage, I would advise using the shelving in the wardrobe for shoes (you can use stackable shoe boxes to utilise height; budget friendly options available at kmart and the reject shop), then add 2 x side by side chest of drawers to the bedroom hallway area for storage of all folded clothes, underwear, socks etc. Add a large statement mirror above them and you'll have perfect natural lighting for makeup application also. If you need additional hanging space, you can add a double hang rod (also available at kmart). Hope that helps xx
