@@MovingHomewithCharlie It's becasue he knows he can't win, but if he waits he risks an absolute wipeout with Farage/immigration this summer. Reform can't win the election - but give it six months an they could easily form the opposition

London house prices are falling. Any properties over priced are sitting in the windows of the estate agents who just wanted the property and didn't care about the real price. Overpriced property's aren't selling end off.

Parts of East Kent new listings are higher and higher. There's a lot of 4 bed plus. Limited 3 beds and they are priced like 4 beds. Why, the area relies on summer for selling based on pandemic times. It's a rip off! Out of area movers think they're getting a large Victorian bargain then realise some of those roads aren't great, there's mould and damp etc...

In just several weeks we will have a complete overhaul of the status quo that we have known for the last 15 years. Labour's main voters are people who are completely excluded from the property market. Labour will win with an extinction-level majority and they will be emboldened to do whatever the F they want to solidify their majority. Expect Labour to first go after all property investors. You can't really hide- rent controls all over the UK, progressive tax on each property, very pro-tenant regulations, etc...All the investors that I know have already dumped their properties and cashed in. Of course you can keep your properties, but you will be at the mercy of a party that has in its best interests to provide affordable housing to its voters...I think it's all coming to an end very soon but people just don't want to wake up to the harsh facts...

More garbage from Sycamore. In 2019 Labour had their own extinction event with their worst ever result. It was going to take decades to recover. Just 4 1/2 years later they are fully recovered and it is the tories now facing extinction. Looks like extinction ain't what it used to be. Did you read Labours six steps pledge card? Housing did not even make the top 5. If you think Labour are going to deliberately cause a collapse in house prices you are, frankly, delusional. The best you can hope for is that do what they say they are going to do and actually build some houses. This, however, will take a long time to move the needle on house prices given the 30 plus year of neglect in this area.

@@SycAamore Have you seen the latest LEGAL immigration figures? A rapidly growing population means that the rental sector is going to be in rude health for landlords for many years yet. Property investment is not my bag but the people I know who are long term multiple property investors are totally relaxed about the short and medium term outlook for their investments. You may know some one property BTLS who panicked and have sold up but the big boys are fully committed to this market as they are smart enough to know that demand for rental property is going to outstrip supply for years and years.
