I have a 80 year old Jacobsen 1450 super chief that was passed down in my family for 4 generations, I have a modified muffler on it and of course it needs a backup alarm, I take it to maple ski ridge for a tractor show along with a Massey ferguson 7

It is only a suggestion i have for you and that is to do a valvecheck on the motor, the reson for this is that if the settings are to wrong the enginestarter can have a problem to turn over the motor when you start it and you can burn the starter. The compression gets to hi and the starter struggels to turn over the motor, i think it sounds like that. Great movie. 😀😀

Håkan Andersson that issue is only related to the OHV engines. In this case the starter May need new bushings and a better battery

circle outside edge of lot to be cut - throwing the grass outward - makes LESS work for you tractor and to not having to reprocess the clippings maintain this pattern

Not really mowing; chopping at it mostly. When you are mowing anything that high you never want to discharge into what you will be mowing. Tougher on the mower; best to discharge it out into the open; it also will dry out a little while you are "chopping" the rest. Done the mowing bit for 5 years; always wore ear plugs.

Ok, there is a difference between earphones (what you use) and earplugs: earphones are just things you put in your ears that play music, and unless specifically noise-cancelling, they don't protect you from outside noise at all. earplugs are things you put in your ears that do protect you from outside noise. unless you want to end up like my grandparents, a bunch of gardeners i know, and me (at times), i heavily suggest wearing proper earplugs or earmuffs

Just subscribed to your channel. I HAVE to ask you.....where did you find that sleeve hitch on the back of your 6216? I ask because I inherited a 6211 a number of years ago which has the same chassis and transmission as the 6216 albeit with a smaller single cylinder Briggs motor. I know Simplicity built a sleeve hitch system for these tractors, but I suspect they were rarely sold. Thanks much!!

what year is the simplicity? what engine? i have a farmall cub with a 60" mower and a 1961 cub cadet original with the 38" timed deck. but run fantastic. my cub wouldn't be out of place mowing a large plot like that.

+andrew donohue it's a 16hp Briggs and Stratton I believe. I think it's a 1986. Your cub would do just fine!!

even the old cub cadet with the little K161 is surprisingly powerful for only being rated at 7hp. only a 38" deck on that one, it does a good job but kind of slow going
