Glad you're happy with the new mower. You deserve something that runs great after dealing with that fiasco from last year!

The hay isn't looking too bad. Up here in northern alberta we have people raking 4-6 swaths together and aren't even making one good swath. Drought central this year!

I am really glad to hear that your pleased with this new machine ,, and from what i can see and hear from the video ,, and i what i heard on the videos of the No-rower240 went back and rewatched a few ,, it sounds like a better machine ,it certainly is quieter in the cabin ,, i think all i can really hear a lot of is hydro whine which is normal for an all hydrostatic machine

Hey Wes you need to start usin' camera mounts in the cabs of your tractors. You look really busy holdin' up the camera in front of your face and trying to operate the tractor at the same time. You could even have multiple cameras going simultaneously ie. one on yourself for your narrative and one facing out the front window showing the drivers view.

I think he had that Gopro for that intention but everyone complained because his hands were always in the mic causing it go sound quiet. Maybe a go pro shot out in the field and his regular cam mounted towards him and synce the sound of the normal camera to the go pro and have 2 views.

I bet your gopro would def help inside. Glad to hear the JD is working out great! I saw a 9440 JD mower in Fort Worth last week. That and all the round bailers down here, they love those round bails. I would guess the are better suited for all the cattle farms around Texas.
@justinjohnston87049 жыл бұрын
You can also buy 3 round balers for the price one big sq baler.

You get what you pay for! If you want cheap then expect to replace it several times and have lots of problems with it. Buy the best to start with and get the work done cheaper, faster and without the headaches! Most of the time the extra $$$ pays for its self many times over in doing the jobs faster with few to no break downs. Work smarter not harder! When are you going to get new JD L340 baler?

Hey Wes I have a question, I'm a fairly new subscriber and me and my uncle make a little hay our haybine is getting pretty ragged and I'm wondering what you think about the discbines, the reason I'm not looking at something like your Deere is I can't make enough hay to justify something like it.

Cummins 14 liter class 8 engines have a power boost feature. I am sure they exist on the other engines too. If you get into a load like a hill and you kept your foot in it then the computer would boost the power setting from the lower more fuel efficient setting to the maximum rated output until the load comes off. Good to see highway manufacturer technology get utilized on agriculture/construction equipment. The Command Series of Kohler small engines was the first to start using hydraulic lifters. It took a decade from when electronic ignition came out in cars to when it started to show up in small engines. When they can make computers inexpensive enough, then electronic fuel injection will show up on smaller motors too. Sure beats the days when you had to plug in the block heater on your carburetor fueled - breaker point ignition fired car in order to get it to start below 20 degrees. Technology is awesome until it breaks. :)

You guys have totally different farming techniques than we do here in SW Missouri (The Ozarks). I've never seen a self propelled mower around here, we still drag ours with a tractor. We are starting to use the large square bales but mostly everyone still uses round with wrap. I have noticed the same is true out on the West Coast. People out there use, or used to use balers with their own power supply. I haven't talked to anyone from there lately, so I don't know what kind of crazy stuff they're using out West now.
@TheZwerfer149 жыл бұрын
Ive never seen such a mower in the Netherlands... Its always a mower behind the tractor or something a triple (1 infront 2 in the back)... But there are quite a few Krone Big M's and they are huge lol. Are these kind like onelonley has good for hills and the Krone Big M's are not good for hills?

Yea, JD has always been a strong leader with their haying equipment closely followed by Vermeer. Not saying JD is perfect, every Ag company has their faults. JD at least stands behind their equipment, as for dealerships, not always true but, good ones do. When you gonna go green with a big square baler? Cheers
