Because adding A/C is a big engineering feat, you're adding and trying to fit the following in a tiny package: Compressor pump on the engine Evaporator core in front of the radiator & hydro cooler Condenser core in the cab Dryer under the hood Valves under the hood And then routing all of the lines and wires for it through the engine bay, floorboard, and cab. Not to mention when you engage it you now have even less power going to your PTOs, with only a 25hp engine with 22hp out the PTO you lose 10%-15% of that engaging the A/C so if you want A/C while brush cutting you'll be disappointed with the mere 20hp of a NEW tractor powering the mower that goes down even more over time.

Hi Tim, I've been watching all you informative videos on the 1025r. I am seriously considering one, but want to get one with both the loader and backhoe already installed. From what I gather, adding the backhoe later if not originally equipped requires power beyond installed, so my thought was why not search the used market (and some year old new) for one that has both. Would you consider doing a similar used tractor search with historic pricing, but for those with backhoe? I would appreciate what other features should be considered as well. Thanks in advance.
@TractorTimewithTim26 күн бұрын
If you are patient, buying used 1025R with backhoe is definitely the least expensive way to buy it. backhoes depreciate faster than tractor or loader. You can typically add 3-4000 to the used prices for backhoe equipped tractors.

Just bought a 2024 2025R model. I don't see a reason to worry about my purchase being overly hasty with these new features being introduced next year... I have enjoyed a few of the perks that came with the newer machine in general over my previous 2014 tractor, so it will be interesting to see how they continue to change things in the future! Are you guys thinking about showcasing a 2025R on the channel soon? I think it kinda gets overlooked in the Deere lineup do to being compared as a pointless upgrade to a 1025R. My opinion, but It seems to be "more" then a slight upgrade to the 1025R while being as good at handling the same tight spaces. But what do I know? Anyhow I certainly have found there to be more Pros then cons to my recent upgrade. The cost I guess would be the biggest con over the 1025R, and that certainly is a big one.
@jagx23429 күн бұрын
The beefier frame and larger size make it a better candidate for the hydros plus upgrades over a 1025R, says me. You can have the power and lift of the larger 2 series, in a more maneuverable package, for a bit less cost.

Just last week got my first JD, a 2021MY 2025R. Been dying to have a 2032R/2038R because they're just fabulous with way more features than the smaller guys but priced REALLY high in comparison. Fun fact; team Orange has 2 really affordable compacts and team Green has their smaller 3 series & 1 series priced to better compete with them which further solidifies select size JDs as better/worse deals than the rest of their line..... Anywho the 1025R on paper achieves everything I need on a mechanical+performance level but I needed slightly better ground clearance and being 6'2" I bang my knees and elbows on EVERYTHING in the ops station of the 1 series. Found a used 2025R for just $2k more than a used 1025R outfitted the same way, took it and ran! I definitely made the right choice, fits all my needs and with it sharing so much with the 1025R I have a LOT of affordable accessory options both from JD or aftermaket should I feel the need to upgrade over time - like the hydraulics are slightly better than the 1025R but I think the Hydroplus stage 2/3 pump is still going to be a near purchase, and soon add 3rd function for grapple, etc. All those improvements on the 203_Rs are big bucks on an already expensive unit 😳

When we were looking to buy a new tractor, we went to John Deere first. We had moved from central Illinois and after a few years in Florida we moved to more property. I was looking at the 3 series with the loader because in my thoughts is you can always take it off but if you don't have it, buying it could cause an issue. After asking a few questions the salesman walked away. Okay he doesn't care if we buy a tractor. On to Kubota, not sure what was going on there but we ended up walking away. So we would be out driving and we came across LS tractor and, Okay never ever heard of them. We stopped and talked to the dealer, his name is Matt Miller and we became good friends. He also ran a landscape business and also hauled rock. Bought an LS and it came with many options that others don't offer. I've had this tractor for 10 years and only ever had a small issue which we fixed. Only thing now is I wished I would have bought one a little bigger with more horsepower.

If the increase in HP isn't a big deal on the 2025 1025R then why use capital letters to announce it, and why refer to it as the biggest news?
@TractorTimewithTim12 күн бұрын
Because it IS the biggest news.

I have no idea why anyone would ever buy Johndeere anything. Less capable for vastly more money. That's before all the years of Johndeere activity screwing over customers. I refuse to own anything johndeere green made after the 70s. There are much better options available at a better price point out there.

Don't much care about the changes in the deer people shouldn't be buying them anymore considering they are on the woke movement buy a deer and you stand with the wolf movement which is wrong scripturally and I stand with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

There is absolutely no way i would buy a john deere anything these days. Its just sad. On top of going woke they are the least capable tractors on the market. JOHN DEERE YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING. WE AMERICANS ARE DONE WITH YOUR NONSENSE!

I'm an American and I like my john deere. Maybe I'll go buy a new one just because it pisses you off
@benjaminhale145429 күн бұрын
@Will-tm5bj good for you. Go ahead and get another booster and don't forget your mask. You should be wearing that mask everywhere you go. You are correct all Americans are not the same. How do you identify? You do realize after you buy the deere you will have overpayed for the weakest most overated tractor on the market.

Your talking about America and a Japan tractor
