The ES is a killer keyboard. Fantastic touch and after touch control and a ribbon controller and breath controller that was fantastic.

I'm glad I bought the ES6, XS6 and MO6. I collect these incase someone needs them for gigs and recording. Very happy with my collection so far. Now looking for Hammond B3 with Leslie combination.

It's even more noticeable with the uncompressed audio format prior to rendering for KZbin, and on a PA system the difference is also big.

Hola, gracias por el comentario. Si yo tuviera la oportunidad de tener un Motif XF y un Motif ES, me quedaría con los dos; si tuviese que quedarme solo con uno me quedaría con el XF, la razón es que tiene mas sonidos y me son mas útiles para cuando hago arreglos y pistas. Tiene mas variaciónes entre los pianos acústicos y también los electricos. Los dos MOTIF tienen mas peso o mas punch que un MOXF o las otras líneas de YAMAHA mas baratas. Pero si me quedase solo con el XF extrañaría sonidos como el CP80&EP que no está entre el listado de sonidos del XF. La tibieza o sonído cálido del ES es una cosa escepcional.

The ES was also a great sampler and when combined with the O1X mixer it was a complete pro digital recording studio.

Such a shame Yamaha has lost the plot the ES demonstrates. The MOXF is very light and has many MIDI features with good sequencer, but obviously the DACs or some other hardware aspects are far cheaper than the ES. Today their boards are less "workstation" than ever. Genos and Montage have their strengths but each has many head banging omissions. Who knew the laptop would kill the workstation? Despite latency, updates etc which cause so many headaches. All this tech and in a living room a tuned piano just kills the technology. Thanks for excellent comparison and settling once and for all the idea that the MOXF could ever play the "Motif sounds" using it's own hardware. That myth was so encouraged...I fell for it :)
