@iancastro1327 I don't get why Gigaton Hammer has such a harsh drawback when the _main point_ is to be the one move that lets 75 base Attack still be threatening. It does a bit more than Metagross's Meteor Mash, but at the cost of every other attack being a lot weaker (which adds up to a lot of pressure if you're relying solely on an attack with only 8 PP). If it were distributed to a few more mons, I'd get it. But this is a signature move that has a very specific purpose. Meanwhile, Gholdengo gets a signature move that, at max investment against an opponent with equal Defense and Sp. Def, does the exact same amount of damage as max investment Gigaton while having a much more manageable drawback and also being attached to a mon with a cracked ability, a better movepool, and a stronger stat spread.

I think okidogi is the only one that is reliable. I have had success with the bulk up set with leftovers. Put a decent ev investment into sp. Defense and its quite bulky. Also a good partner with farigiraf to shut down priority moves and slow it down further for the dogi.

Tinkaton is perfectly balanced, fun and versatile what do you mean? Obviously she isn't the most useable in competitive gamemodes that don't have restrictions but that's the nature of pokémon. In Smogon singles she performs excellently in UU (the tier that has Skeledirge, Thundurus T, Ursaluna, Rillaboom, Tyranitar, etc.) and in the base game she's a mon that can easily carry a playthrough even without overlevelling or item spam

The description for wood hammer states that the user attacks with his body during the attack, so he just hits as hard as a wood hammer and doesn't actually use one, so the animation is just misleading. Guess that's why it makes contact. I do get though why no sane person would actually trust any kind of description in a Pokémon game

I predicted early on Hearthflame would get put to Ubers. Here's a Grass-Fire with high attack and speed who can Tera and Swords Dance on turn one to gain the vaunted physical equivalent of Tail Glow, with good speed and moderate defenses. Fiery Ivy Cudgel, Horn Leech or Power Whip and you have an incredible pair of extremely hard hitting high power moves that cover each other nicely. The only thing that resists is a Dragon. Oh, hello, Play Rough, get in here there's room for one more.

Not necessarily, the three duo typed ones are much, much better defensively when they don't tera. Tera is only good defensively once the threats to the monotype have been eliminated. The fire and grass ones may tera regularly because of offensive capabilities, but water and rock are not gonna tera all the time with rock especially not wanting to hog it.

Ogerpon is way more balanced due to worse typing and needing to commit tera to get the boost while also not being versatile with the tera It can be worked around because it's not especially bulky, doesn't have an especially good type on the fire one, and is predictable on item and tera type.
