this was fun again I don't really think moxxie or blitzØs designs are bad just kinda lacking now that where in season 2 since we've gotten so much new info and info that makes season 1s info not make sense anymore like does anyone else feel like season 2 is like a weird off the main timeline universe like nothing from season 1 seems to have moved into season 2 it cant just be right sorry this is about moxxie see I can talk about him much cause he's not really the problem its like mainly the world building

what if greed imps with gold spikes had wings, since they are based on dragons and because greed imps with gold spikes are rare they would maybe fly away so they can keep all the gold for themselves. it would also be good if moxxie had wings just smaller so he could still fly away from enemies. it would also make more sense than succubus having wings because they never use them for anything.

Honest to God I feel the same way, now don't get me wrong I still love/like helluva boss and still a fan but I can say for me that season 2 has been...rocky to say the least. From the ideas to some of the moments in the episodes to the characters all feel...out of place. Season 1 timeline, jokes, and overall vibe clears season 2 out of the park(again in my opinion heheh) But anyways as always love your redesign and I hope you have a good day👍❤

I feel like Moxxie in Unhappy Campers would've worked if his problems were implyed/shown to be from having to deal with his screwy relationship problems, and just dealing with the whole Striker fiasco back to back/in the span of 2 episodes; it would make sense for him to crack in a toxic way, but they do nothing about how M&M have been dealing with these events other than "we're fine/still a perfectly healthy, cute couple!"

(other than the fact that they haven't really been on their own, but that isn't even really brought up!) Honestly, that weird conflict Millie had could've easily been tied to that, with Moxxie having his tied to that by having that being the base of this Jenga stack of inner turmoil or something! I mean, the poor guy had a horrible dad, a horrible ex (who might've been bad too, but that's just me), and a dude he's delt with twice who ALMOST KILLED A GOETIA! How could -he- EITHER OF THEM not want this kind of toxic amount of comfort after what happened!?

3:04 I feel like the identical thing was a missed opportunity. It could've been used to show that "oh yeah Moxx looks just like Crim, he must act like him too". Like a father like son type of deal, except it's just on the surface. Like a subversion of our expectations and Moxxie's personality is revealed to be completely opposite to Crim. @@LovesArt23 So, since I made this comment, it’s kinda stuck in my head that that could be something that’s a normal part of Greed society; giving someone a piece of your “hoard” to show how important they are to you/how much you cherish them. Buckzo could have given Tilla her necklace, Crimson could have given Moxxie’s mom either the flower she wears in her hair (with maybe a gemstone in the center,) or he did the same as Moxxie and dug up the gold that made their weddings rings, assuming he’s good at finding gold, like his son. It could be reversed with Ozzie and Fizz, with Ozzie giving one of his crystals to Fizz and that could have confused Fizz for a long time, before he realizes that Ozzie gives them to all his employees. Except Fizz now caught feelings, whoops. And it all could have stemmed from when Mammon gave Leviathan the emerald that they wear. I don’t know if that’s where you were going to go with Mammon, when you do his video, but that’s where my mind went.

Absolutely love how you actually make the different types of imps actually LOOK different, orange looks great on moxxie❤ For the unhappy campers episode, i completely agree, i would much rather see moxxie be alone trying to find their kill while millie essentially tries to distract everyone while getting some information. Like moxxie could end up having some sort of panic attack for not solving the case quick enough and thinking he was going to disappoint blitz and everyone, and trying to push millie away because he knows how much she helps him all the time and wants her to have fun for once BECAUSE HE LOVES HIS WIFE AND ISN'T A LITTLE PRICK. Ugh, that episode was frustrating tbh

I think one of the things that always bugs me about Moxxie is that they make him like.. too pathetic? LIKE I LOVE A GOOD PATHETIC CHARACTER IN MEDIA. give me a man who cries and can't do anything and I'm absolutely obsessed. But for moxxie, it feels like it just doesn't fit in with the background they give him? He was a top guy in the mafia, the son of the boss, and immediately after leaving that group he became a hired assassin.... so like how is he always losing every fight every time. It feels like they push moxxie and millie to be like the weak/strong duo, with Moxxie being more headsmart and Millie being more physically tough, but often I feel like for Moxxie they go wayyy to ham on it to the point where it just doesn't make a lot of sense for him. In my opinion.

I'm feeling sooo good for giving Moxxie curly hair! Blitzo and Moxxie are spposed to be mixed children (much like Alastor, and Velvette is supposed to be black) but none of them has curly hair! I know you can be a mixed child of various ethnicities, but having all of them have straight hair (except for Blitz) made blow air out of my nose. I'm also a mixed child (my mother is creole and my father is algerian) and even if I don't have the darkest skintone in the world (Maybe I'm albino) I still have some of my parents features, especially with my hair (I look like a goddamn sheep) and if you want to have mixed children characters do it properly! Moxxie now looks like he's mixed. And I think it's sad that you had to add more realistic lore to show this aspect of him! I know that VivziePop tries to be super inclusive with her characters but I don't think she does it correctly, I mean... Not every people who watched Hazbin Hotel understood that Alastor was mixed, I even saw some fanarts of him depicting him as white! You must be careful with your designs, even if it's fantasy-based you have to understand basic things like characters ethnicity! Anyway: god job once again! 💪

We have weird clichés like the Italian guy who was part of the Mafia (besides being a huge homophobic stereotype) and every colored character are grey toned when the white ones are well VERY white. I see she's trying but also it really feels like she doesn't want to do actual researches because it's going to change the appearance of her high school OCS... That's too bad because to my eyes this is just waisted potential. And judging by the writing of Helluva Boss, I don't think we're gonna have the masterpiece of the century...

I love Moxxie and Millie but I agree I'd like to see them bounce off of other characters more, Striker being a rival to Millie would be perfect since they're very similar in their morals and culture, with the only difference is that Millie is friendly to outsiders. I really want to see Millie interact more with Sallie May and her family, and wish we could get a flashback to her as a child to show what life is like growing up in wrath.

As for the inhabitants of Greed, you can make them both dragons and dinosaurs. Besides, I think that the 90s sitcom "Dinosaurs" would have inspired Vivzipop to associate dinosaur creatures and greed.

M&M are so sweet and supportive of each other, I really wish Unhappy Campers was about Millie being a distraction while Moxxie investigated and the episode was more focused on how Millie isn't used to attention because of how large her family is and how Moxxie usually gets more attention than her. It would make some sense why Millie never seems to get her own episodes--she prefers a supporting role.

so many issues in helluva is that formed plot lines are kinda dropped after the episode they're introduced in. if the writers actually decided to focus on a plot instead of jumping from idea to idea, so much would get done. they could've kept with the New Job of the Day thing but managed to get the plot in consistently, like morel orel did! they kept orel causing new chaos everyday but the plot of whats going on in his family isn't ever restarted or droppped like helluva does to it's plots and developments. it's a good show with good ideas but almost no continuity or developments. iirc, i think only fizz has had any memorable development and we're DEEP in season two.

I cant believe he looks like striker now /j One of my favorite parts of this redesign has to be the different shade of white you used for him (I.M.P finally dont blend into eachother with the exact same color scheme of red white and black), the curly hair, and the dragon features you gave him, mostly the tail. ❤ I kind of like to think your redesigned moxxie’s affinity for theatre and music is more passionate and less nettlesome than the canon one. A fun little headcanon I have for your Moxxie is that he’s an musician part-time and the only reason he’s even still in I.M.P is because Millie would like the support he gives and he’s the only weapons expert they have access to. Of course, thats assuming his backstory is still mostly the same as it is in canon in your rewrite ^^

I always thought I was the only one that went full Hyperfixation on worldbuilding and things like genetics, societal structures and norms, and historical events within stories!! It’s really cool to learn about things like that within fictional stories because it feels more real! I love your Moxxie reimagining! While I do disagree with a few things, it’s honestly really creative and puts a new perspective into what Moxxie could have been like if there was a tiny bit more thought out into this show, although I still do love Helluva Boss :)

Moxie looks really good I like the dragon and gold as well as the new lore. I like that to cement him as the odd one out you put little hints that IMP is just a job and nothing more to Moxie it helps him stand out amongst his murder happy coworkers. A little off topic but I thought of this idea a few days after the Blitz video. I like that in the show Milly is a physical fighter while Moxie is a gun expert but perhaps Blitz has his own preferred weapons? Like since he has vision damage in this version maybe he gravitates towards shotguns and small knives things that don’t require aiming and fighting at a distance. So now it would be Milly likes mid range weapons fighting close but not too close, Moxie likes long range weapons like guns that keep him away from being in the middle of the violence, while Blitz prefers to be right on top of it because he would have a hard time judging distance and because he likes fighting. Anyway back to the video I am now really interested in your version of greed after the little bit you gave us and can’t wait to see you tackle five nights at Freddie’s.

3:20 I agree so much tbh. Especially since if he grew up traumatized in the mafia forced to kill people, and had these morals in ep 1, kinda makes you wonder why he chose the job in the first place? And what would happen if they had to target a family that genuinely was innocent and wasn’t evil like the murder family? Or like in Cherub, they had to convince someone to commit suicide but this time they were a really kind person? And Blizo was so pissed at Moxxie in ep 1 for nearly ruining their mission, plus Millie not even caring abt humans at all in ep 1. Like the new eps don’t really seem to want to focus on this particular stuff, but there’s kinda missed potential here since this could cause a rift between the team or something

I'm going to be honest, I feel like a lot of things in Helluva Boss are not planned out, two of these things being the world building and Moxxie's backstory. If they were genuinely planned out and not thought of on the spot, Moxxie's character would make much more sense and the world building would not be so chaotic and incomprehensible. I really like your rewrite and can't wait to see what you have written out, thank you for actually fixing a majority of Helluva Boss' problems and adding new creative stuff to your rewrite!!

Moxie does show some moral in the first episode when they were about to kill the mom of the family he said “it would be ok if it was a mobster dad or abusive father but a mom of a family is wrong” basically hinting to who is father was and how he feels about his mother (This is what I feel his character reflected in that episode and I made that connection)

For real, i always just assumed Greed Imps were part of some "hellish diaspora", thus their given name, but if they were meant to ACTUALLY be hybrids... Yeah, Crimson's more muted red skin is not giving, specially considering is pretty similar to Sally Mae's (a Wrath born), so no. It would have made more sense if he (Crimson) was a pureblood Greed citizen if he is so "influencial" ANYHOW, Moxxie looks great, him and Striker are my favorites, can't wait to see his re-design 😁😁😁

Once again, you nailed it, my friend. Even though the two Moxxies look different, you can tell that this guy is supposed to be Moxxie, even with the change-up of colour, costume and general appearance. Yet, his general pose and attitude instantly tell me, "Yeah, that's Moxxie alright." Again, fantastic work as usual, and quickly, I dig (Hehe, get it because Greed demons dig- yeah I hate myself too) the idea of Greed demons being dragons, they are commonly used to symbolise greed by hoarding gold, but in both the Bible and Paradise Lost dragons, there are mentioned of dragons or Lucifer is described as a dragon. So, that's pretty cool in my opinion and creative, (I might wanna write a fic using that- WITH CREDIT) anyway I gotta go, see you next time my friend, keep up the good work. BYE!

I commented this already, but, since it was a fun coincidence that have similar ideas about Helluva and dragons I'm going to post what I wrote here. I'm working on an au called "The Imp and the Dragon", it's a slightly darker but sentimental deconstructionist story about what I love and don't love about the show and Moxxie & Millie while fleshing out the setting. Inspired by Emositecc's au focusing on Mazzie, the daughter of Moxxie and Millie with the latter dying of childbirth, but with Moxxie dying instead. The gist of the story focuses on the aftermath of Moxxie being killed in a fight with a wealthier demon, due to a mixture of trying to impress Millie and be a stronger imp, and to rob the guy for money so that she can go to a hospital to give birth. Millie is now an overprotective single mother feeling guilty that she encouraged Moxxie to not be concerned with morality and for taking part in a culture that pride's itself on selfish violence leading to her being strained with her family and friends. Her child Mercy meanwhile is very curious and adventurous like his younger mother and wants to be an explorer across the rings of hell. Mercy's curiosity gets the better of him when he is abducted by a young a vampire bat like dragon who also lost their family to a fungal disease (inspired by white nose syndrome), that Mercy fed from his window and now wants him to replace it's sibling. To make matters worse Mercy isn't as immune to fire as his mom and maybe accidentally be killed by his new and only friend. The story would focus on themes of nature vs nurture, self improvement, cultural bias, disposability of people, grief, guilt, racism, environmentalism, death, class, and love. While I do kill him off in my story it's not because I dislike Moxxie, but because I wanted to write a story about what his positive relationship means in a harsh world and how fragile it is and what role Millie and Blitzø, play into his downfall despite loving him, and how to be compassionate in a social Darwinistic society. IDK where I'd post it, maybe deviant art, i'd say archive of our own because it has some great stuff, but, that website is sus.

The imps in the HB universe are my favorite because it feels like you can mitch and match, but I feel like the lust imps are the only ones who look like the ring they are from because all the other imps just look plain. 6:58 This is such a fun coincidence, I'm working on an au called "The Imp and the Dragon", it's a slightly darker but sentimental deconstructionist story about what I love and don't love about the show and Moxxie & Millie while fleshing out the setting. Inspired by Emositecc's au focusing on Mazzie, the daughter of Moxxie and Millie with the latter dying of childbirth, but with Moxxie dying instead. The gist of the story focuses on the aftermath of Moxxie being killed in a fight with a wealthier demon, due to a mixture of trying to impress Millie and be a stronger imp, and to rob the guy for money so that she can go to a hospital to give birth. Millie is now an overprotective single mother feeling guilty that she encouraged Moxxie to not be concerned with morality and for taking part in a culture that pride's itself on selfish violence leading to her being strained with her family and friends. Her child Mercy meanwhile is very curious and adventurous like his younger mother and wants to be an explorer across the rings of hell. Mercy's curiosity gets the better of him when he is abducted by a young a vampire bat like dragon who also lost their family to a fungal disease (inspired by white nose syndrome), that Mercy fed from his window and now wants him to replace it's sibling. To make matters worse Mercy isn't as immune to fire as his mom and maybe accidentally be killed by his new and only friend. The story would focus on themes of nature vs nurture, self improvement, cultural bias, disposability of people, grief, guilt, racism, environmentalism, death, class, and love. While I do kill him off in my story it's not because I dislike Moxxie, but because I wanted to write a story about what his positive relationship means in a harsh world and how fragile it is and what role Millie and Blitzø, play into his downfall despite loving him, and how to be compassionate in a social Darwinistic society. IDK where I'd post it, maybe deviant art, i'd say archive of our own because it has some great stuff, but, that website is sus.

You put a LOT of thought into these designs! I love the idea of incorporating dragon/greed theming into Moxxie and it looks GREAT! The gold accents are really giving and I love the rolled up sleeves you gave him. So far I have preferred every design of yours opposed to the show 💖

Now that you mentioned it, it is weird that Moxxie didn't try to change his looks after running away from the mafia. Like, meybe he could have dyed his hair black like his mom, change his style a little or wear contacts? i know that you can only do so munch when you look lika a literal clone of your dad but it looks like Moxxie didn't even tried, he didn't even change his suit. No wonder Crimson knew where to find him, he sucks a hyding.

It wouldve been so cool if Moxxie was a name he chose for himself and his birth name was a color name like Crimson’s is (but for this moxxie instead of a red color name it would be some shade of orange) Ooooh, I just had a thought. You know how Moxxie’s mom doesnt have a name in canon? To go with this rewrites lore of Greed, what if her name was Ruby? Or Rubie, however you wanna spell it. Not only is Ruby red a shade of red as a color, but Ruby is also a gemstone. And maybe that could be one of the reasons she and Crimson even got together in the first place. Her name would remind Crimson of gems and shiny things.

I didn't know how to feel about your version of Moxxie at first, but now I think it looks great 😃. I never liked Moxxie that much, like Yea he's fine , but everyone has their favorites. It looks amazing, the tail and dragon parts, perfect! But I don't know how to feel about his snoot. I think I will like it in the future, it's just a force of habit😅. ❤

You mentioned how part of the Greed ring's theming is circuses, and that made me realize something: Why is almost EVERY RING dominated by either a performance-based theme or a ruler who loves performing? The Greed Ring has Mammon and his circus and theme park. The Gluttony Ring has Belzeebub who is basically an animated Ke$ha without actually having Ke$ha sing. The Lust Ring has Asmodeus who sings and dances at clubs. The Pride Ring has Charlie, the daughter of Hell's main ruler, singing on TV like a Disney princess, and a love of performing MIGHT be something she inherited from her father. That's like four out of the seven rings that are dominated by performers in some way, shape, or form and I don't get *why.* Maybe the writers just love having songs and dance scenes, which is fine I suppose, I just don't get why more than half of Hell has to be filled with singing and dancing. Like, the Greed ring should be all about money and banks and stuff, kind of like how Sloth is filled with hospitals.

I think it makes sense if the skeleton jesters were skeletons of dragons since dragons are magic or something like that or make the dinosaur dragon like to show that dragons evolved into different lizards for different tasks

I wonder if you are going to keep the tree aspect for Mammon, because it ties in well with your interpretation of Greed, in particular with the mythical tree with golden apples from the garden of the Hesperides guarded by a dragon, as well as an allusion to natural resources and of course the expression (Jock in this case) "money doesn't grow on trees". Besides, I can imagine this version of Mammon being a sort of root system that can basically incarnate in any plant in hell, but is therefore obliged to be perpetually in contact with the ground.

I really like that you gave him short sleeves. Right now I'm having to fight the obsession of giving all my characters long sleeves and boots 😂 But also with what the conflict between Moxxie and Millie could be, I have an idea. Maybe Moxxie had to deal with obeying his father and never having a say in anything. So when he runs away and marries Millie, that was the first decision he made. However, Moxxie still struggles with speaking for himself and possible codependency. Which would explain his 'happy wife, happy life' mentality. I'm still figuring out Millie

I find it so annoying when all the child characters are a copy paste of one of the parents in works. It’s very lazy and unrealistic for every child to be like that. One or two is fine because it does happen rarely (literally me being the only case I know) but it’s just annoying and distracting if it’s all of them. 17:12 also you make perfect sense . Build up is so important because it makes everything feel more natural and seeing it makes us more invested in the situation and resolution. Tbh HB seems to struggle with ,to use the roller coaster imagery, with having both an upward climb and downward rush. Sometimes they are really great at one but have trouble with the other part of constructing the emotional roller coaster leaving a unfulfilled or confused feeling in at least me as I watch. anyways sorry for the long comment and love the redesign and hearing the thought you put into it, especially the button part I would have never thought of that.

The dragon greed citizens are such a smart idea! Like the dinosaur idea is funny as a joke but dragons make way more sense. Also when you said Moxie has a button as the logo, I was like ‘yeah Blitzo wouldn’t spend that much on him’ lol 😅 Cause realistically Millie would be the one Blitzo would want out of the two of them. Like we don’t know how he meant Millie but it makes way more sense he sought out her to make an assassin service than some guy he meant in prison for robbery

Thank you for fixing Moxxie's hair horns. I always hated the way they phased into each other. Also, for personal Heaven and Hell projects, I also gave the imps(which are spread across the 11 circles in my interpretation.) I had Greed imps possess a mix of dragon and goblin features. Goblins are a unique species to Greed, if you're aware of goblin lore, I thought it made sense.

You're right that Moxxie looks a bit too much like his dad. When I voiced my criticism on this in the Helluva boss sub I got attacked; I received lots of replies saying "oh, my and my mom/dad are identical to the point of being twins". And sure, in some cases it's possible for parent and child to look very similar (though Im not sure of being "completely identical") but for it to happen 3 times in a row isnt realistic. And the HB fandom is such a toxic hellhole (no pun intended).
