heads up,, if you want the 2 sliders back for framerate and hz go to display and scroll down to advanced, you can enable or disable unified frame limit management.

Despite owning the flagship 512GB Steam Deck LCD, I didn't install any games on the NVMe SSD but downloaded and installed everything on my 1TB microSD card. This will make transferring all my games to my Steam Deck OLED LE coming this Friday much easier! 🤪 Update: Just make sure you update your Steam Deck LCD first before you pop out the microSD card and putting it in on your new Steam Deck OLED that also has been fully updated. You don't even need to shutdown your OLED one. Just pop in the microSD that has your Steam games and it will automatically show up when you go to your Steam library. 👍

@samsonk.167 I was talking about transferring a microSD card with your Steam games from a Steam Deck LCD to the new Steam Deck OLED. No reformatting needed. My games were all recognized by the new Steam Deck OLED.

You can also transfer any games off your steam deck hard drive to an SD card and then move them that way as well. There's an option to transfer your data from card to hard drive back and forth on steam deck.

Great video! And you are absolutely right about about half rate shading. I've only seen it not break things once. And no it didn't help battery life either.

Did they rename v-sync to "allow tearing"? If so that's kind of a weird way to do it.

Yeah sort of. Gamescope's VSync is enabled by default and so the "allow tearing" disables it.
