Also, was testing to see how using a wired mic would sound over the wireless mics. Think I’ll just stick with my DJI mic 2. AND sorry for the random corrupted parts with the footage. No idea how that happened LOL 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Just found out you don't even need a dock to play your steam deck on your TV or monitor, as long as your TV has screen mirroring capabilities you can go on your deck turn on remote play and pair it to the steam remote play app and screen mirror it to your TV. Its more of a 3 step process but it's so convenient if you don't own a dock

I got my 1tb OLED a month ago and having a f****ng blast with it. Absolutely my best purchase in the last years. Started playing games I would never play on the PC, and most of the games works like a charm. Some old/retro Windows games also feel more compatible with Steam Deck than they are with modern Windows systems. And don't even get me started with the emulation... Its flawless. I believe with the popularity and traction of such devices, the support from Valve and also developers is just going to get better and better.

@@kater123bln6 some emulators require bios file to be installed, and these files are not provided by the emulator developers. You should check the EmuDeck or the emulator documentation, pretty sure you can find instructions how to set everything up there

Nintendo walked so another company that doesn’t offer a walled garden of a library can run. Being able to use one library to play at your desk, on the couch, and on the go is the future. Interested to see how valve’s hardware homogenizes as they rehash VR and steam machines.

I upgraded my SD Oled to 2TB and dual boot to windows for me to play Call of Duty DMZ.. smooth as butter.. low graphics but barely noticeable and running very smoothly. I also play BeamNG drive and forza horizon 5. Just awesome!

I literally just put in an order on the 30th and they shipped it. Super excited, just built my first pc this past year and had my own return to steam and pc gaming. I definetly love high frames and all that put the fact that any of the games I enjoy will even run is exactly what I want. Bought the 64gb lcd back in February, and sadly the ps5 has been collecting dust. The steamdeck is the perfect console/handheld/pc. It's the ultimate device, and installing a ssd is pretty simple. Rocking a 2tb steamdeck now.

Awesome! Yeah, the Steam Deck still holds its own compared to the more powerful handhelds, especially, if you know the games you’re going to play are older AAA games, indie games and such. Even with the newer AAA games-the Steam Deck community has their way around making some of them playable 🙌🏾

Can’t believe you dissed the Ally X like that 😂 Nah but in all seriousness when I was looking for a portable handheld I was going to get a deck but ultimately decided against it for the battery life and the OS surprisingly. Linux multiplayer unfortunately has issues which is a big deal breaker for me

Nooo haha no shade! Honestly the Rog Ally X is something I would consider buying to play all the other game stores like gamepass and epic games lol it’s just that Windows OS is so wonky on a handheld. BUT you can basically play most games at 60 fps, so, it’s def more powerful than the steam deck.

@@MatteBlackEXP You can run games from Epic and GoG on SteamOS without much issue. It's basically just the "multiplayer with anticheat" ones that can't be supported without the developers themselves putting in some work.

You can most likely install Fedora KDE on your Mac btw. It's very similar to the Deck's desktop mode and (at least in case of M1 and M2 devices) switching between Fedora and your existing macOS installation should be a breeze.

@@MatteBlackEXP The project to make it all work on Apple Silicon is called Asahi Linux. They have an official partnership with Fedora to provide the best desktop experience possible! And on Intel Macs regular Fedora KDE should work just fine. Though I can't guarantee some manual driver or firmware setup won't be needed.

Honestly that’s how it all came about for me too. I did research, watched a ton of videos and it sold me on buying it. Even the new Nintendo Switch doesn’t faze me because the Steam Deck is able to play all the games I like which are most of the time not very demanding (most indie games, such as, Hollow Knight or Stardew Valley).

Under normal circumstances I would love to get a Steam Deck. However, I have a laptop with rtx 2060 so I am saving up for a PC. If I get the Steam Deck it will take me at least two years more to save up.

Have a feeling you would want to play some more demanding AAA titles, so, that’s a safer bet. I would recommend the Steam Deck to any casual gamer who plays indie games or old AAA titles and below

bought my steam deck in middle of the year past and since is the thing that i play most. i love play on the go all my favorite games, but i do not recommend this little guy for 2025 or foward. this console isnt like a console where the time life is 5 or 7 years old, it's an pc and an pc has a time life smalers than an console usual. there are already many games that dont work well on steam deck, like wukong, star wars outlaw, alan wake 2 and so many others. and there are rumors about steam os coming soon to the rog ally and lenovo legion go... so, is better get an pc handheld that will work with new games too. but is just my opinion, i love your video by the way

It really depends on what you’re hoping to play and if you’re okay with using windows OS because it can get a bit annoying. I would say the SteamOS is one of the best selling points for the SteamDeck, with great community and technical support, plus being pretty ergonomic in comfort. BUT, the more demanding games like cyberpunk 2077 while being playable…take a pretty big hit graphically. If you’re like me and are cool with 30-40 fps while playing a big game like that-I’d say steam deck all day.

The claw is the worst of the windows hand helds. It has a ton of power on paper but in practice it falls way behind the ally or the legion go or any of them. Now the new call that has AI that's coming out is supposed to be a lot better but the current claw is not worth it and that's why you see the prices tanking on those devices everywhere. Just trying to give you a heads up because I almost bought one, but the claw has worse performance than the base ally with the non-extreme processor

Last year I bought the steam deck LCD model. Then a month later they released the OLED and they decreased the value of the Steam deck I had just bought by $200. And that was right when they announced they wouldn’t release a new console for another 2 years. I feel like I got scammed by them. I’m skipping on the OLED because it’s not really that much of a upgrade to be worth spending $200 more. Instead I bought the Virtue Pro AR glasses for the steam deck. Which allow me to play on a virtual 120 inch OLED screen with a 120hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution. I can also use the glasses with my other gaming consoles.
