I am perturbed by the "motivation" question by an African journalist. Peace and tranquility for the people of the affected area is good enough for the troops to be there. For the first time an foreign imposed problem on Africans is being solved by Africans. For sure this was not being expected from Africans. There people who are not sleeping well if this become precedence. Well done Rwanda and its leadership.

"Militants"? what is that a code word for? Shouldn't the word be Jihadis?
@JohnWick-jz6yx3 жыл бұрын
jihad mean struggle in arabic.it can be use in any kind of situation like struggle to protect your home from robbery or giving birth or going to work everyday to feed family or to protect the country from enemy of islam that is call jihad..so they are considered militant not jihadis because they come to destroy everything not to protect.dont misunderstand the word jihad to be the same as terrorist (jihad= terrorist is wrong)because that is what the media told the world without understanding the teaching of islam.

Only the northern part of the northern province of Cabo Delgado is affected (granted the province with some of the best beaches). It has been business as usual everywhere else. My brother who even works in Southern Cabo Delgado hasn't been affected and for those of us who live in the South this has been nothing but a news story. Stick to places like Inhambane in the south and you'll be perfectly fine. COVID is the only thing affecting tourism in these regions.
