Can they chill with the drums? There are other instruments played in Africa. Every tme there is a documentary about Africa you have 200 guys beating a drum around a circle. Play the kora or the kalimba. I know it sounds petty but it just brings up negative stereotypes

Jason Young I agree it's like all of Africa uses drums 24/7 when that's not true

Another thing is using music or instruments from one corner of the continent when showing and discussing a totally other region. I remember when I played music from Mali for a Chinese friend and he was amazed thinking it was going to be a torrent of drums.

Mozambique is a wonderful country with a special native people who is forgoten in every economic situation. I lived there for 17 years, until 1977.

I lived there for 17 years and traveled from Rovuma river to Ponta do Ouro. Nice diving at Kirimbas, Tambuzi atol, Santa Carolina and Inhaca Island. The poor People of Mozambique is excepcional nice and friendly. What have changed after Mozambique independence for the People? Any benefits go strait to the political purses that forget the PEOPLE who owns the very Country. In Mozambique Africans, Whites, Yellows and Indians all want the same - explore and get rich. Who cares for the People development? One party Country ... and for 43 years ... We had António Salazar fascism in Portugal for 50 years of under development.

Great we have a shortage of affordable housing so now we are being catered for or maybe the expatriates are once again getting the housing whilst we the average citizens still fight among ourselves for housing perhaps living in a car whilst we wait as they are affordable second hand

This development is only happening in Maputo, the rest of the country is embarrassing.

Under colonial regime was the same in this so long country. The Maputo confort is what matters. Not the big coutryside,

The rest of the country never existed under colonial regime and even after independence. What a marvelous country and people I know very well.

this luxury apartment boom is strange: [1] the city of Maputo is close to South African border, where youth male unemployment (that year: 2014) was 48.8%, which is like riots waiting to happen; [2] successive Mozambican governments lack credibility: look at the youth male unemployment data they presented to the World Bank - - how can it be that the unemployment rate between 1991 and 2014 varied only between 41.4% and 41.6% ?

@paultremblay48366 жыл бұрын
@@clementyang5260 shut up hater, go away. What's your point? They don't deserve? What Mozambique lack is mass education. Without knowledge and skills, Africans cannot claim the salaries and jobs they need. But something is extremely is extremely corrupted with African countries who were colonized by Latin European powers, they are often more corrupted. Countries like Guinea biassou, Congo Angola and Mozambique should be far more wealthy because of their incredible natural resources. Seem like Latin countries are bad at sharing wealth. While non Latin countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, Zambia, Nigeria, even Uganda do better with less natural resources wealth.
