This magnificent piece will forever be connected to the last episode of TV's M*A*S*H. Major Winchester tries to teach it to five Korean musicians. The musicians play with the major until they are taken away to be repatriated. They play it flawlessly on their way down the road. Tears.

Thank you MrUptownman2000, I wondered if anyone else would remember this! Winchester was so frustrated by the popular stuff they played - presumably because that was what most service men wanted to hear. Their response when he told them he wanted to hear Mozart revealed their familiarity with classical music: "Ahhh! Mozart!" and I recall them learning this piece rather quickly, but with their non-traditional (for Mozart) instruments. And yes, very sad as they were playing from the back of that truck.

The deep harmony of Mozart are amazing. The sound of clarinet completes the four stringed instruments in a way impressively. Only a genius of musician like Mozart can achieve a perfect harmony like this. The conversation that takes place between the various instruments is truly beautiful, making the musical work astonishing and magnificent. Viva Mozart and his unequaled music!!!!

Bravo Andrea Götsch , beautiful german sound and expressive nuance. Sprited playing by the string quartet. As for perfomance style of this piece (less vibrato, trill starting by the upper note.... a bit more baroque or romantic?) I think the important thing is to have a consistent style. One of the best interpretation I have heard.
