Der großte Unterschied von Leonard Bernstein zu vielen anderen Dirigenten ist das in seiner Konzerten die Musik lachte, weinte, seufzte....! Mit anderen Worten in der Musik war das das Leben. Leider vermissen wir in unserer Zeit solchen lebendigen Spiel. Diese Aufführung ist ser gutes Beispiel wie man die Musik spielen sollte.

Without any doubt this is a great symphony for the young composer, I any case this symphony in particular was very unknown until the projection of famous film "AMADEUS " in which the first movement is played almost at the beginning of the film, when the composer Salieri appears in that tragic scene , the performance of this symphony with the VPO is spectacular and the conducting of Bernstein is genial, I bought this symphony in DVD many years ago], how I miss dearest!Lenny..
